Hey everyone. I've been busy writing the next couple chapters of True Chaos, and recently a thought occurred to me. I'm not going to be using this in the story, so don't worry about spoilers.
What if Celestia and Luna are immortal because of the Elements of Harmony? I mean, having imprisoning spells that only work as long as the elements are bound to the pony who cast the spell would be awfully inconvenient when you're using them to lock away ancient immortal evils; As Celestia said in the prologue, they'd have to find new bearers for the elements every generation. And while this could be the start of a really cool line of harmony-warrior-clans, it'd be kinda dumb if that's just the way they work. If that's the case, what does that mean for the mane six? are they immortal now as well? It's probably been about a year and a half since Nightmare Moon in the show's time, so they wouldn't have noticed yet, and Celestia's pretty awful about withholding information that isn't absolutely crucial.
Maybe I'll expand on this when I feel comfortable writing more than a few reactive conversational lines from real characters and not driving the story with OCs.
