Where is chapter 3 of Darkening Star?

Greetings folks. Figured since several other people are posting random 'I'm sorry I haven’t been more active/updated my stories & here's why' blogs, I’d throw one up too, since I do feel bad for not getting more done on Darkening Star.

My new job has been taking a lot out of me. Basically leaves me feeling wrecked most of the time, and when I do have time off I don't feel like doing much of anything. So I’ve decided to go back to school and do another degree. Starting that up in May. While it's probably going to give me even less free time, it will be a lot more structured than the shifting, ever-changing and unpredictable schedules I'm currently forced to write, change and work daily. Maybe I’ll just keep collecting degrees until I find a job I can simply work Monday to Friday. (TL;DR Don't quit you're day job).

All that said there is some good new. Seeing as how I had a couple of days off recently I was certain I wouldn’t be working, (a very rare occurrence), I was able to do a bit of work on Darkening Star. Not nearly as much as I would have liked, (isn't that always the way?), but I was able to complete one short thousand word scene and get about eight hundred down in another. Add that up with the incomplete scene bits I’ve written for the next two or three chapters and I'm making some mild progress.

While I have most of the next two or three chapters loosely plotted out, one thing that has been hampering the third chapter are the scenes involving Fluttershy, Applejack and Chakotay. It's a classic case of knowing where I want to have them eventually but being unable to envision a plausible, entertaining and non-cliche way of getting them there. If anyone has any ideas they want to knock back and forth let me know.

In the mean time, I’ll keep slugging away and writing when I can. Doubt you can expect a new chapter anytime soon but we'll see, maybe I'll get inspired or something.
