Well, obviously as the title says, it's been a while. I'll keep this short and sweet as I like making excuses about as much as you all probably like hearing them. Truth be told, I've been burning out. The candle doesn't last too long when you light it from both ends. I know you all are eagerly awaiting the next chapter of "Fancy Mathematics", and I want you to know that I have not given up on it. I cannot however, offer any sort of ETA. All I will say is that It's approximately 75% written at 6000-ish words, and come hell or high water, it will get done. I'm just working on it very slowly. I had to kind of step away from it for a while because my writing was quickly devolving into a depressingly bland and muddled load of hot garbage. Naturally, there are certain odiferous qualities to said hot garbage. I would liken trying to read it to listening to the teacher from the old Charlie Brown cartoons. It was that dull. But I digress... All I can say is that hopefully it will not be too terribly long before I am ready to publish the next chapter.
