Well, seeing as I said it was happening, and because its taking a while...heres a little preview from the new prologue;
Daring approached the suit of armour. It looked as if it had been in the same place for hundreds, if not thousands of years.
She frowned. The armour was nothing like any ancient pony armour she had ever seen, it looked far too big for any pony to ever wear.
The helmet looked strange, as if it were more advanced than anything she had seen. A high headdress arched up from the sides of the helmet.
Huge armoured paldrons covered the shoulders, and a strange weapon Daring had never seen before was slung over its shoulder. What Daring’s experienced brain could not comprehend, was that the weapon looked years ahead of Equestrian technology.
Daring’s eyes where drawn to the strange symbol on the armours chest piece. An orb with what looked like flame at the top and bottom.
Daring rubbed her chin. The huge suit of armour was covered in a layer of sandy coloured dust, and Daring could feel something urging her to wipe away some of the sandy covering.
Daring reared up and placed one hoof against the armours chest plate. She felt a little uneasy when the suit didn’t move. Surely, a suit of armour so old, and without a doubt empty, should of shifted under her weight. Daring gulped down the uneasy feeling, and stretched out her left hoof to the right side of the helmet.
Daring swept her hoof across and froze in fear. Her hoof revealed blue armour that was trimmed with gold, and not Equestrian made…and a dull, but glowing, green eyepiece...
Oh Daring Do what have you done, at least you didn't unearth a Necron tomb.
I'm thinking Thousand Sons from the armor colors and head dress, but I don't recognize the symbol you described as being on the chest plate.
Looking forward to seeing the finished product.
