Well, this is embarrassing... · 6:05am Feb 25th, 2013
So, uh... I was wondering.
Is Conor spelled with one n or two?
Is it:
Conor?
or
Connor?
I'm not quite sure which I should use and this is a fairly important character in my story...
A brony who no longer has as much time on their hands as they would like/hope for. :/

*hears BRO comment on user page, wakes up groggily and is cranky* What!?
Hm. I believe it's "Connor" -- it seems to make the most sense. And besides, there are several names spelled multiple ways that seem wrong to begin with. One 'N' could simply be a personal preference of his. Again this is something that is more or less up to you.
Glad to hear that you're so close to done. Also happy that you're taking the time to proofread your work; that's important after all.
If I could offer a few tips:
1. When writing, make it a steadfast belief that your story is awesome -- it's the best thing that's ever been written, hooves down. Ever. But when you're editing, be a super critic; every sentence is crap, every word is horrible, every paragraph needs to be rewritten -- it's the most garbage thing that has ever existed. Have that latter mindset when editing, and something better will blossom forth.
2. If you're not sure whether a sentence "flows" or not, say it out loud once or twice. If it sounds awkward to say aloud, then chances are that sentence simply doesn't flow too well.
3. Try not to use similar words too many times in paragraphs. A variety of words will help eliminate, or at least lessen, repetition and tediousness for readers reading your story.
4. Do a little research and find out what time of day FimFiction has a high amount of viewers. Try to update/submit during that time, and you will get more views (and by extension, faves, likes, and maybe even comments.). I realize that this has little to do with editing, but getting the story popular takes some doing.
5. And yes you need cover art! nearly half of getting your story viewed is having an eye-catching, yet relevant to the story, picture to go along with it. Many stories that caught my eye, whether they were good or not is irrelevant, simply had a good picture.
Best of luck, and I have to say, it's about time! Welcome to Authorhood!
Oh, and something else I "discovered" while editing "Love and Tolerance" -- try zooming in while reading your own work. Larger text appears to make mistakes easier to catch.

Well, ah-hem, technically I am already an author but this is kinda the first thing I am really trying hard to write so I guess it's the same thing???
I have a fairly well viewed story on FanFiction that I might post here sometime...
