I just found out about the Brony Documentary. · 5:25am Feb 25th, 2013
I doubt anyone's going to read this, but I decided to make this post out of boredom anyway and yes, I know this is well over half a year late.
So, the BronyDoc, apparently it's meant to be a 'documentary' about why the fandom is great. So basically it's a circle-jerk. After noticing the fact that the blu-ray package is what, $40? I can't see how you can even begin to justify the fact that it's even priced. They raised $322,000, FOR A DOCUMENTARY. Why would you need that much money to fund a documentary? It's disappointing how a lot of bronies are praising this when it's really just a blatant scam. THEY ARE MAKING THE FANS PAY FOR A DOCUMENTARY THAT THEY INITIALLY FUNDED. And no, effort does not justify the price, because otherwise it completely undermines the purpose of the documentary in the first place (I can't imagine a documentary requiring even $20,000 to produce, but what do I know?).
Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if there's a chunk of the story I'm missing, but even so, this is pathetic. Honestly, people need to take the show/fandom with a pinch of salt. Don't worship Tara Strong, John De Lancie or Lauren Faust because they're involved in the shows production. They do it to pay bill$. I'm just saying I wouldn't believe they were fans of their own show unless I was a close friend of theirs and they personally told me.
Another thing that pisses me off is that they have comment approval on the trailer for it on YouTube, so now I can't openly criticise it.
do u want a torrent for it?
