My 8 cents on The Show From Now On

I don't want to bore you guys with all of my complaints about the season finale, (but hey, if you're reduced to reading this, you probably don't have anything better to do, right?) but I will say just a few things to condense my feelings about it.

"Keep Calm And Flutter On" [SPOILERS]

    WHAT?! Discord's back?!?!?!
I had some really high hopes for this episode, and even though it was pretty short considering the amount of story that was jam-packed into it, it did meet most if not all of my expectations.

    Hang in there, Bronies.

First of all, I want to give a huge and sincere thanks to anyone who has decided to become my follower (all five of you). I now understand why authors go through the trouble of doing what they do (well, most of them). Having you guys to give me feedback and praise is a real morality booster, and the reason I decided to continue with my fiction writing instead of chucking it aside like a worn-out

My 8 cents on The Show From Now On · 10:03pm Feb 21st, 2013

I don't want to bore you guys with all of my complaints about the season finale, (but hey, if you're reduced to reading this, you probably don't have anything better to do, right?) but I will say just a few things to condense my feelings about it.

It was too short. You're all probably aware of this opinion from the hundreds of others who have said so, but I do feel the finale should have been a two-parter. At the extreme, I believe they could have fit in more than enough to make it a THREE-PARTER, but we'll never know, so that's that. I was impressed, as I am with the other episodes that exemplify this problem, that the writers could fit in so much into 22 minutes, even if it did ruin the feeling ever so slightly. Basically the entire episode was just turned into a big musical, which I was surprisingly fine with, given the quality of songs. But fitting that much potentially good story into 22 minutes is like shoving a three-course meal down your throat in one setting, again in my opinion.

Again, giving my 8 cents (because my opinion is more valuable than 2 cents) about the future episodes, I have only faith that the show will continue in its good run. The 13 episode limit of season 3 left me with an inexplicably bad taste in my mouth, but if the future season 4 keeps the quality of season 3, then I shall be quite okay. Of course, i do predict a steady decline in the show's quality per the absence of Lauren Faust, but that is another topic entirely.

All I can say is, I've already devoted so much of my time to this great show, and I'm not giving up on it quite so fast.
