Regarding the Season Three Finale... · 3:36am Feb 17th, 2013
So first off I want to say that I loved it! While some parts felt slightly rushed, because of all the different parts they had to do, it was jam-packed full of awesomeness! It made me laugh; it made me cry; there were fantastical music numbers! I trust the writers to do a good job, and they always pull through.
That said, there is something bothering me...This episode just feels so much like...the end of an era. There are already rumors going around that season four is going to be more of a spin-off with different characters and whatnot, and I gotta say that scares me just a bit. I mean, these are the ponies I've grown to love!
HOWEVER! There is a possibility these new ponies could be our adorable little fillies :D Not by any rumor, I just think that if they're going to start again, that would be a good place to go. On the other hand they could go far enough into the future where it's only Twilight as princess (like a Celestia of sorts), and we could have all knew mares (or stallions).
If anyone reads this, I WOULD LOVE YOUR THOUGHTS :)
(on a side note, did any of you notice that the animation looked especially good this episode? Or was it just me?)
It was fine, as long as it did NOT transfer to the next season.
If it does I will be gone, I will not stay with the new life's of the new characters. I do not want new characters, much more of the princess' life. I would like to say

It'll ruin all my ships! (that is such a bad reason, but it's true...) It being a dream would just feel like a cop out. If they aren't picking up with the CMCs, I would rather they just start from scratch in the future. Or I kinda want to see the past too, like when Celestia and Luna were young and how they became princesses and whatnot, but that's not likely...
I don't think it would be the end of the world if they just picked up with the same characters, but that seems unlikely and uncomfortable to work around.
(The next season will be about how Applejack overthrows the monarchy and starts a democracy, FOR TEH PONIES BY TEH PONIES! With liberty and apples for all, lol
