So about Twilight becoming an alicorn... · 11:09pm Feb 16th, 2013
Because the great minds at Hasbro thought it would be a goo idea to make Twilight an alicorn, what does that mean for the rest of the series? Me and my two brony friends back in Mississippi were actually talking about it on a three way call. One of them, let's call him Barney(that's actually what everyone calls him) said because of Twilight becoming an alicorn, the series is pretty much ruined. He said that the show is now going to be a *actual quote* "a shit show of dumbassery". His brother on the hand (we shall call him Reggie) said the show is not ruined and will be the opposite of Barney's quote. He said that the show could only get better and keep in mind, these are two are brothers who have never had an argument for as long as I known them, which is twenty years. Back to what Reggie was saying, he said that the show could focus on Twilight balancing being a princess and being a friend.
I sided with Reggie on this argument and Barney's a little pissed at me. But I got curious on other people's opinion, people like the people reading this. So if you made it this far without getting bored, I want to hear your opinion on the episode. Do you agree with Barney or Reggie? Just tell me what you think and whoever I decide had a good (or at the very least, funny as hell) defense for your side, will receive a reward...or not. Depends on my mood I guess.
So that's pretty much all I have to say, and so my minions, I leave you with one little thing, a motto to live by:
Enjoy. Hero out.

Haven't seen it yet, but I think having Twilight Sparkle as an Alicorn has the definite possibility of nerfing the show. It puts her on uneven footing with her friends and leaves the open ended possibility that she could outlive them, etc. Honestly, I can't think of a single good reason to turn her into one, since having magic as her special talent and being the mortal representation of the Element of Magic makes her pretty OP to begin with.
That said, with my limited viewing (I bought the Season 1 DVD, so maybe I can complete my viewing of the first season without Youtube), I think they may be able to pull it off.
