WTFquestria..? · 10:59pm Feb 16th, 2013

With some serious thinking in the shower, I began to put together the pieces of how the MLP universe is, acutually, quite real. Ready for a mindrape? Well then, off we go..!

The humans continue to war, slowly dipping into poverty and hatred. With a final straw (and hefty decision-making), the Americans create a super-nuclear missile payload, dump the United States in thousands of shelters, and send the payload to several places around the globe. Each missile has the ability to wipe out a quarter of Russia (so it's a really big, catastrophic decision). The aftermath re-shapes the land, covering it in a Fallout-ish wasteland. About seventy years pass... animals have changed, acting differently. Most American vaults didn't survive, and most of the remaining 100 or so vaults end up running out of supplies, as they are too afraid to seek the above land. However, the land above has been anything but horrid.

The reshaped land grows new, foreign nutrients (from the nuclear fallout) that cover the land in a sea of green. Grass, forests, oceans, all de-contaminated completely from the way the payload was designed. From previous design, it was supposed to decimate the planet, but several bonds in the nuclear arrangements were switched up, creating a completely new, never-before-seen ingredient. This new ingredient acts as a fertilizer and a cleanser, bringing the land back to before people ever stamped their environmental footprint. Also changed, were the creatures that were exposed to the substance. Some couldn't take it, and incinerated. But some species survived, due to the affect that humans put on them beforehand. One of the largest populations now, were horses. All changed in a peculiar fashion. They became smart, learning about the humans from finding the empty vaults. The traditions were passed down (as was the language these equines learned from us, English), and towns were built to match what we had before, but in their 'green' image. A government was established, farming was created, and these new species of ponies took over.

Along with the world, the substance also had some invigorating effects on the creatures. Wings and horns turned into a genetic pass-over, with 1/3 of a possibility to become either an "Earth", "Pegasus", or "Unicorn" pony. Just like the probability of childbirth leading to a male or female result, it's completely at random (but studies show that certain traits tend to be passed via family). The normal brown, black and white equines were now colored in every spectrum of the rainbow. Even the hair was uniquely created with one or (sometimes) two colors, naturally. Like humans, these ponies hit puberty, but in their own unique way; Puberty is achieved when an individual finds their natural talent that will stay with them for the rest of their lives. Some follow their 'Cutie Mark' (as it's called) and make a living. However, some ponies tend to do whatever they please, no matter what their flank represents.

One special trait of the payload substance is the effect it created among all living things, that defies many of Newton's and Einstein's laws... a sort of a form of Equivalent Exchange (but better classified as 'Magic'). This magic can be harnessed by the Unicorn ponies, as their horn appendage uses the neurological patterns of the host to cast certain effects on whatever they are trying to accomplish (Pegasi have also found a way to use magic by walking on certain types of clouds). Further study shows that certain neurological patterns can alter the effect. This can be charted down scientifically, and be written down to re-create within the mind. This magic has also directly affected one branch of Equine... well, only two to be exact. With their combined knowledge, they can surpass the acts of human religion... e.g. 'God'. These two ponies are quite taller than the rest, and have made themselves at the top of the pony government. They call themselves 'Princess Luna' and 'Princess Celestia'. Now, with the human catastrophe, the explosions placed upon the planet has shook its rotation around the sun, and was granted only several decades before it would be sent spiraling down into its hot surface. The two 'sisters', as they refer to each other, learned this, and used the powers of magic to re-arrange the entire solar system to fit their needs and desires. With that, they possess the power to raise and lower the sun and moon. Thus, the origin of their names.

Now, these ponies have an important job. With the substance, it stopped all natural formations of weather patterns. The Pegasi knew that, and began to take it upon themselves to change the four seasons all manually. The Earth ponies have stronger bodies than the other two types, which makes them perfect candidates for agriculture and harvesting. The unicorns can manipulate all things around them, so they have been set upon learning all there is to learn about life, the universe, and everything (and no, it's not 42. 'Starswirl the Bearded' discovered this particularly interesting answer, and has been able to disprove it using heavy logistics passed from textbooks in the vaults). Thus, balance and order has swept the new land...

But what about the humans, you ask? Well, some have finally left the vaults. Weak and artificially sun-tanned, they stumbled across this new land (dubbed 'Equestria') and have now taken it upon themselves to live in harmony with their new surroundings. Some of the elders taught the unicorns about their old ways and how it used to be on the planet, and the young began to take public school with the ponies. Finally, everything was in its place, as happy as can be.

Oh, and who arranged the nuclear payload forever ago? That was me... and you're welcome.

I think my brain is on the other side of the room. That's how serious that mindfuck was.

Thank you so very much.
