I have been working on The Night Guards Chronicles for a while but I think I should clear some things up before I continue. First, the characters throughout the story may use spells that seem like something ponies wouldn't use, like for instance, Styxen commonly uses dark magic, ancient, powerful magic that goes far beyond Celestia's limits. Styxen is also approximately 10,000 years old, which in this storyline is how long Celestia's family has ruled equestria. Also Styxen's actual form(non skeleton) is an olive green unicorn with a mane style similar to Dusk Shine's(male Twlight) except his mane is solid green. His cutie mark is a military award. I can't provide any more explanations until I get farther into the story.
