In which Clyde Pie rants for 1700 words · 2:31am Jan 21st, 2013

Sooo...

It's too early in the morning to find a Patchy pic to go with this - they all come from posts on /fic/, because I'm too lazy to get an online album uploader thingy - so have onomatopoeia and an ellipse right off the bat!

Anyhow, the latest story, if you can call it that, is part of a series unofficially named "Practice": the central theme is more or less something that I plan to use in a larger work, put into practice on its own. The theme of this entry is "Love". No, really.

Admittedly, the weirdness of that half-pun and the whole situation altogether may drown out the theme part, but it might not, so hearing what people have to say on it is a good thing.

But, yes, this is essentially a letter by somepony madly in love. It was also an intended entry for a flashfic contest and ended up 800 words halfway through - the max allowed is 500. Oh well. What have you, eh?

In other news, the chapter that ends the arc for The Life and Times of Caughlin Mare is complete, and after letting it sit for a day, I'll be back this evening to give it a once-over and then publish it to FF.net. A move to Fimfic is eventual, but whether or not the rest of it comes with it, well, we'll see.

In deference to an old-time colleague, the release of the latest chapter of Pipsqueak tVA Journal! will be delayed. It is, however, already written, which is a start.

Oh, and the next thing in the series called "Practice" has a first-person narrator who killed Twilight Sparkle, and the thing will be written in Nabakov-inspired prose. Goody! Whether that's out of jealousy, obsession, or a blend of the two, well, we'll see.
