Keep Calm and Flutter On

I was typing up a larger, far more substantial rant on this, but then my computer froze, and I don't feel like retyping it. Thus, the concise version.

That episode sucked. Discord was good but not nearly as likable as in his first appearance, the reasoning behind his being released is weak and seems odd coming from Celestia, the mane six are a poor choice for counselors (and only Fluttershy does anything in that direction anyways), Discord obeying makes little sense when he could either physically steal an element or kill any of the element-bearers themselves (especially Fluttershy, who is alone with him often), Discord not having a friend (even a false, obviously-motivated-by-other-reasons-than-friendship one like the one portrayed in episode) is weak, as is his just bending to Fluttershy saying they're friends in a sort of weird, obviously-well-intended-but-fake-sounding-anyways manner is dumb.

And even letting go of those massive base logic problems, Discord being on the side of good sort of ruins the tension behind any further grand scale conflicts the show tries to portray. Because. He's basically a god.

...Yeah. The execution wasn't terrible, but the concept was just AWFUL.

Just to give you the opinion of a Discord-lover on Discord coming back, if any of you so cared.
