New Story Overview: ''The Scythe'' · 12:29am Jan 14th, 2013
Unlike my other stories, this one is nearly complete. It's a dark tale with elements of romance, tragedy, and a little adventure.
The story itself? Well...
It's a tale written whilst listening to an epic metal opera album. It's a tale of morality and loyalty, lust versus reason. A lot of different elements went into this piece. Rather than describe the story, I will quickly describe some of the dynamic characters.
Alfeo : The main character. Working as an apprentice to a great iron smith, Alfeo seeks to garner enough repesect to take his skills in iron cobbling to the Great Lands, a village far away. For now, he's stuck learning from the master in a marshy, grimy village that he's moved to. The people seem brainless, and the mares are far from attractive. After hearing about The Legend of The Scythe, he is convinced that the village is also psychotic. Until he witnesses The Legend befor his eyes. Soon, he begins to rethink his purpose and future, and falls dangerously in love with "The Scythe".
Grand Cobbler : The master iron smith. He has lived in the village for decades, and is highly superstitious. He warns Alfeo about "The Scythe", but cannot get through to him. He is ambivalent towards Alfeo, although Alfeo suddenly seems to start a pattern of truancy during his lessons. Rather than go out looking for the incorrigible student, he begins using his extra time to form something big.
Elveron : One of the many villagers in the village. A chef and a friend of Alfeo, he is the one who tells Alfeo more about "The Scythe". Throughout the tale, he watches as his new companion spirals into madness.
I'd rather not reveal too much about "The Scythe", but when you see it, you'll know why I've kept it under wraps for so long.
Expect it to drop in March.
