A quick question

I would like some quick input from who ever wants to give it. The last few days I have been doing some bits and bobs and decided to go for one last major drawing before leaving it to pursue the exiled angel story. The theme was something I always wanted to try called 'The Split' or 'Two Sided'. You've probably seen them around, but incase you haven't here is a quick pic of one:

Now normally the people that do this tend to lean on to insecurities and the like, while there are a few of a sinister intent, like Spike for example during his greed phase. Well I came up with two ideas, one of saddness/ insecurity, while the second was anger/ defiance.

For the first, I was thinking of the text stating: My life -/- Has it been just a -/- LIE

The sceond would state something like this: No matter what happens -/- I will protect my -/- FAMILY

And here is a rough layout of both instances, outlined in different colours to discern between the two:

Finally just a quick explanation behind both, first up, the sad one. Blue skies has just found out something that has completely altered the way in which he sees himself, bascially a soul shattering experience. The second is at an event where one close and dear to Sora's heart has been threatened in a life and death situation, awakening something deep within him.

Both do occur in the characters life time and are significant events in his story. Now that you know why both have appeared and the reason by each, which do you prefer?

Edit at 15:46: Well, flash just crashed and I lost the entire drawing for both guess I should have saved more I don't quite feel up to do it all over again (Don't mention the pic included, I saved them to paint, so all the properties will be messed up)...
