Our Human Side · 5:42am Jan 4th, 2013
The following is my comment to the story My Little Dashie by ROBCakeran53:
This was the most beautiful story I've ever read and probably ever will. My sister told me I had to read this, and that I would cry really hard.
I did. I cried for at least fifteen minutes.
Those who say men don't cry are either devoid of the emotions that make us human, or don't want to admit that they've had their share of sorrow. Some even say that it's part of tapping in to our "feminine side". It really isn't though. What it really is is our human side. Whether you are male or female. It's what makes us love others; what makes us rejoice; what makes us cry, whether it be tears of sadness or tears of joy. I just hope that one day we can all accept that.
I broke down my first time reading it. I am such a deep reader when I don't skim through.
But... you must re-read it again. The story is actually badly written, you just don't notice it the first read.
In the first half of the book, the author repeats the dead parents and the crappy life way too much. It's like every other line is, "Did I mention my life is horrible?" I know this isn't very loving and tolerating of me to judge this story like this but I hate to see a badly written story get so famous when those epic stories are hated on...
That is all.
