I'm Zyr1987 (Rhymes with sir) and I'm currently the only person to write stories about Fleur de Lis to any great extent. I also ship extensively and have been taking to combining the two in my stories

My raging perfectionism and The Model Caretaker (AKA editor wanted) · 4:58am Dec 28th, 2012

First off, I want to thank everyone who has faved The Model Caretaker. Never did I dream that an obscure author like me could have success like that just by having a unique paring and good timing (and, apparently, good writing, though I never comment on the quality of my own writing, leaving that for others), and, because of that, expect faster updates than I suggested in the author's notes (also, on some level, I'm happy to see that it has nearly reached the level of success in a day that the story that inspired it only reached after months of being around)

However success does have its drawbacks, and with me, it's the raging perfectionism that comes when a work of mine constantly gains praise that stands out. I want to do my best to live up to the praise and not disappoint, and, while this does usually ensure a very high quality work, it has a nasty tendency to reach the point of unhealthiness (seriously, I have a headache from just thinking about trying to keep the next chapter up to the quality of the first chapter). I do think I have a way to keep it under control, however. Specifically, I could use an editor to ensure the story works and is the best it could be, while smoothing out my inevitable errors as a way to keep myself from stressing out over it too much since I know s/he will pont out things I can improve before I show the world the finished product. Also, as another form of stress relief, you may see more stories from me while this is ongoing, becuase when the stress gets to me I will work on other stories to calm myself down (writing something new and disconnected from a particularly loved fanfic that is still ongoing is very calming for me).

Anyway, back to the editor job. What I need is someone who can judge the quality of my work, offer suggestions for improvement, and find the typos I make, and work with my random schedule (I wing it to a very large extent when I write, and can have a chapter done in anywhere between three days and a month, depending on how bad my perfectionism gets and how many ideas I test out before settling on ones I like, so you can expect it anytime during that time). You will only be working on chapters for The Model Caretaker, unless you want to work on more than that
