I'm not sure if anyone else can really appreciate how hard it is to write a tragedy when you have "Smile, Smile, Smile!" stuck in your freakin' head!
Seriously, I think I'm in trouble. I want to open on a depressing scene and I have Pinkie Pie telling me to be all happy. I think she's become the pony I hate to love.
Well, that's a problem! (Btw, this is Black, in case you haven't noticed!)
Perhaps you could get a mood by reading a story?
If you need a sad tone, try reading my little dashie again or eternal. (If you're looking for eternal, it's here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Mb29QAKEAPzg_AKuKngglnc1dTAC-YvDPUsCX1inn4I/edit)
Anyway, there are many ways to set a mood. One of the the best ways is rain!
Ever notice how a lot of scenes with loss is in a sort of downpour, torrential, unrelenting rain?
Words for thought.
Keep it up! ;D

I've been watching war flicks and I think I've watched "The Mist" twelve times this weekend. It's helping, but then I go outside and see sunshine and clear skies and I just fall back into it again
I think I'm just gonna lock myself in the basement for a week, that might help.
