Delayed Art · 2:55am May 25th
Well, I'm a bit bummed out. I got a new PC (very cheap) in the mail today and it turns out that it requires physical connections to the net. As in, NO wi-fi at all. I was seriously hoping to have a device I could comfortably get back into drawing again, but if I have no internet access without directly connecting to the router, this PC's nothing but a piece of dzod (Arish for s**t). And, I highly doubt I'll be able to get anything outside of my money back with this device because the selection at my local stores isn't any better without going for software I hate with a passion, or getting hardware I'm not interested in. Sadly, I must delay my art even further since the only PC I have is literally falling apart and I have no money to spare for a quality device.
I can still write and I have ideas for my current story, which I will be posting the next chapter VERY soon. Keep watching, friends!
If this new PC has a USB port, you can use a dongle, like "D-Link", to connect via wifi. Wifi died on my 2009 Win 7 laptop years ago and I've been using a USB dongle ever since.

I've thought about something like that. I still need something better than this thing since it's a serious cheap piece of crap. Maybe I'll look for something to externally connect to wifi with it so it won't be a total waste.
Your best bet for a computer is eBay. I got an dell rugged extreme laptop for under $300. Now the one I got is an older 2015 model but still works well for most things and it came with a internal and replaceable wi-fi card on am M2 slot. Right now I seen some of the not so rugged aka normal laptops around the he $300 Mark are less then 2 years old. Hopefully you can find a good one there.

I'll need to save up, but for now, I'm exploring some AC adapters for this one I got. If it works out, I'll have two devices to work with until I get something much better. There are a lot of good things you can find on eBay, so I'll give that a look later.

The cheapest AC adapters I have found are on Temu. Temu has full free shipping and only required a $15 to $20 dollar order at a time. I have even seen some nice computer drawing pads really cheap there too.

I found an AC for less than $20 with shipping and will be here in a few days. The drawing deal is why I seek out 2 in 1 tablets. I think I'd have too much of a hard time getting things right with one of those external drawing tablets.
