Today, we pay our respects to Janice Burgess; the creator of Nick Junior’s cartoon show, The Backyardigans.

Ms. Burgess oversaw the production of Blue's Clues and drew on her own childhood for the kids’ cartoon show, The Backyardigans. It centers around five cartoon animals imagining their yard as a place of otherworldly adventure.

Farewell Janice Burgess, thank you for creating one of the best kids show in our lives.
