You know, I'm surprised I didn't address this topic long before now.
What do you think of the new G5 voice cast compared to the one from A New Generation?
Personally, I think the new voice actors have done very well to fit the roles and, for the most part, I like them just as much as the original cast. Hell, I would even say that Queen Haven and Sprout sound almost identical to how they did in the movie. Although for some of them, such as Sunny and Zipp, I think their new voices are even better. Once I familiarised myself with Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, I immediately felt that she was a good choice for Zipp. And frankly, I adore the voice that Jenna Warren brings to Sunny!
Ana Sani as Izzy was probably the only change that took me longer to get used to than the others. I just thought that Kimiko Glenn absolutely nailed the role in the movie, so I was pretty disappointed to hear that she'd be getting replaced as well. But now, in the grand scheme of things, I think Ana has done well with continuing the role (although it's a bit odd that she uses a somewhat higher voice for Izzy in TYT than in MYM).
What do you guys think? How do you think the new cast fares against the original? Are there any you like more, and did some take longer to get used to?
