Some thoughts on my story

I'm waiting for my first story on this website to be approved for public viewing. Hopefully it'll pass. It's pretty tame compared to a lot of the stuff that gets posted on this website!

I've seen a lot of stories that feature a human Spike in them, but I've never seen one that places a human Spike in the world of Equestria Girls or one very much like it. That's what my story's about, it's just Equestria Girls if Spike the dog was Spike the human.

A lot of authors have thrown Spike into high school settings before, but most of them boil down to being weird halfway worlds that combine elements of EQG and MLP in a huge hodgepodge. I've noticed that the separation of the human and pony worlds is basically ignored every time, even if the stories retain the EQG setting and characters.

So I hope I'm offering a unique take on this concept with this grounded (lol) in canon (sort of) story. I was thinking a lot about Carnifex's drawings of a humanized EQG style Spike while writing this chapter. You should totally look those up! They give Spike a very distinct but cool look that still fits well with the spirit of the character and the aesthetics of the series. It makes sense that the Carnifex version of Spike would be popular with the ladies, as he has this regal but boyish look to him.

I'll write more about the story as it progresses, but I needed to get some motivations off my chest for why I wrote this in the first place
