While it doesn't happen often, Newland does export small amounts of outdated(but still incredibly advanced by Equestrian standards) items, most commonly medical instruments and occasionally consumer goods.

History
Origins
Newland was officially founded on Nova Aetas 1, Jan 1, but its roots stretched further back. The true start can be traced to the first outpost, Sector Zero, set up by the administrator to survive the wild after being cast out by society, unfortunately the exact date of this exile can no longer be determined because the incident happened before first memories. The outpost started to grow into a base of operations for the Administrator's tinkering, with the invention of PoniBots, rapid development started and new outposts were established in desolate but somewhat resource-rich areas. Eventually, an expedition was launched and scout ships start looking for new places to develop. This led to the discovery of a new continent.
Founding of Newland
Upon the Administrator's arrival on the newly-discovered continent, she established the nation of Newland, while also naming the continent Newland. The new continent was untouched by civilization and gave the Administrator a sandbox to grow Newland into a powerful, but still local power. But an unfortunate chain of events put the adaptability and resilience of Newland to the test.
The Storm War

The Storm War took place during Nova Aetas 3, Jan 20 to Nova Aetas 14, Nov 12. Spanning more than 10 years, it was the first major conflict experienced by Newland. The war was sparked by an assassination attempt by the Storm Empire in hopes of conquering the continent. The war pushed Newland to its limits and the desperation drove the Administrator to build new inventions to defend Newland. Eventually, Newland won over the numerically superior, but less innovative Strom Empire. Ironically, it is the Storm Empire's invasion that caused Newland to become the most powerful nation on the planet.
Pre-Nightmare Moon Period
Several months after the invasion ended, the artifact "Element of Innovation" was found in the ruins of the Castle of Two Sisters, and subsequently integrated into the Administrator's powered exoskeleton. At the same time, a strong magical anomaly was detected on the Moon, and a future version of the Administrator told the present version of the Administrator to start a cover-up business in Ponyville and make contact with the princess' student. Sector Zero was refurbished and the Administrator assumed a cover-up job of a hypnotherapist, which is good for remaining mostly anonymous and not raising too much suspicions by apparently having no job at all.
The Return of Nightmare Moon

Upon contact with Twilight Sparkle on Nova Aetas 15, June 27, and a brief exchange of information, it was confirmed that the anomalous signature on the Moon is caused by Nightmare Moon. A regional Code Red was declared by the Administrator over Equestria to allow the use of advanced technologies to aid in defense of Equestria.
Assisting the Defence of Equestria

With the attempted takeover of Equestria by Discord, it was decided that all bases in Equestria will have a garrison on standby, and emergency mobilization can be conducted when necessary.
Intervention During the Changeling Invasion of Canterlot

This decision proved to be useful during the invasion of the Changeling Hive on Nova Aetas 17, Oct 3. Most of the forces of the Changeling Hive were intercepted and promptly defeated by ground and aerial forces dispatched under the Equestrian Defense Branch before even entering Equestria, the significantly weakened changeling army was allowed to pass through in order to prevent raising suspicions. After the defeat of the changeling swarm in Canterlot, a covert operation was conducted to drive off remaining changeling forces that weren't removed by the "love shockwave".
The Reappearance of the Crystal Empire

On Nova Aetas 18, Aug 2, a powerful anomaly was detected in the far North, data from geosurveillance satellites show a large change in weather pattern and abnormal heat covering a radius of over 15 kilometers originating from the anomaly. From the data obtained by an AWACS aircraft dispatched from the nearest airbase, it was confirmed to be the Crystal Empire, which was under attack by King Sombra. The Administrator and her friends were tasked by Princess Celestia to assist in the defense of the Crystal Empire. The intervention is mostly undetected as the sky is filled with dark clouds and very dim, the Air Force conducted precision strikes on King Sombra and his crystal formations. This provided enough time for the activation of the Crystal Heart. Unfortunately, the Administrator, who is the last one on the battlefield as she broke off to stop King Sombra from catching the Crystal Heart, couldn't retreat in time. When the Crystal Heart was activated, not only did it dispel all clouds and light up the sky, which exposed the aircraft in plain sight, but it also made the aircraft appear semi-transparent, and the Administrator was sighted by almost every pony in the Crystal Empire, making this the worst uncontained exposure to this day, and caused the Administrator to gain a huge unwanted fame.
