Sounds weird. But, I want my stories to connect in different ways. And I don't know if putting out the sequel before I finish the first one is a good idea.
All I can really say about it is Zipp sings a lovely solo at one point.

Why not make the g5 stars descended from the main 6 of g4. That would be a connection. Though I do think you should get close to the end before you start a sequel.

That was something I was considering. It also would work great with the events in the sequel. As for how the first story will end and how it will impact the sequel? I have a few ideas for that. Including a posable cliffhanger. That way it'd add to the mystery behind the sequel.

Most of the time if I don't see anything I might guess at what might happen next. Good writers I have trouble complaining about. Though there is a common mistake that I hope you won't make the differences between colt foal and filly mistake that lots of authors make.

Yeah well it is very common mistake so I thought I warn you just in case. If it was a typo that would be not a huge deal but the colt filly one just irks me . One story had baby cadence called a colt and she was a girl in the story so it bugs me. If you don't know the proper words then go with the human ones.

I certainly try to being overly critical about stories although sometimes although authors get you hype up for a good ending like where twilight ends up having to learn that empathy is something you should put wherever possible because you can lose a friend by making them wait until you get around to say sorry for not being a good friend only for authors to pull a 180 on that. Twilight is my least favorite character because despite what Celestia said she lacks empathy because she can't imagine herself in their shoes and therefore isn't as nice as she could be.

I chalked it to authors who didn't take emotion into account when they made a show about friendship. Remember mare do well. There was so much wrong with that episode that I'm not there was anything right with it.

I think episodes like that was done just for the message... still could have been done better. Like the cheerleader episode that should never have been made.

Yeah that was kinda stupid. Saying that in order to be loyal you have to part of something you don't like. Rainbow is more about action. That is why she likes sports and the wonderbolts. They have action. Cheerleading isn't very action pact. It can be under the right training but the kids would have just fine with any teacher. Though twilight school had more issues than a real world school and although it had good intentions it had major flaws all which rested on twilight ignorance of the world around her.

Actually that wasn't the problem. Prior to the episode, Rainbow show her knowledge of what it takes to be a cheerleader, her willingness to cheer for others(mostly Scootaloo) and not to mention her knowledge of how important cheerleaders are. Basically that one episode undid all the growth Rainbow went through from season 1. Heck it even undid her childhood. Twilight making Dash the coach made sense but not for the reason the episode went with. Smolder was right. "Rainbow makes everything she does cooler." But the writers made it terrible.
