Indefinite Hiatus · 8:45pm Jul 26th, 2023
Dear Fellow Bronies, Pegasisters and Everyone Else In-Between (Followers and Fellow Writers alike),
I’m afraid that I’ve got some unfortunate news for all of you, and for myself. As I’m sure you have all known beforehand, I’ve placed Hearts, Passions, and Lust on hiatus. Don’t worry, I’m going to have publish the remaining Mane Six chapters by the end of the year, but after that, I’m not sure how much longer I might have for Fimfiction.
You see, I started my profile here to do more than write whatever I thought of relating to My Little Pony; I wanted to train myself. I wanted to train myself into being an rookie novelist with some experience behind. This website was the first thing that came to mind, and it seemed to have been a good idea. From February of 2021, I have amassed some recognition for my work, giving me confidence in my abilities. Ten years from now, I’m going to look back on this and remember how much this meant to me in the long haul.
But again, my real life has been catching up to me. My job is more draining than I had thought, all the free time I wish was spent on finishing my stories have been wasted on other useless and counterproductive endeavors, and the worst part…is that I’m one year away from finishing college and the bill is undoubtedly going to be big. I need to do something about it on the ASAP since my chances of winning more than one scholarship have been slim to none.
And, right now, that something is me starting my novel career earlier than I wanted. I’m going to write an original novel throughout my senior year, and once I am certain that it is perfect enough, I am going to find an publisher and hope for it to be a blockbusting novel that will help me pay my college debts. But what that means for Fimfiction is that I won’t have so much time for the stories that I have in mind here. I’ll still be here reading, but all of my writing energy will be used for my novel.
I apologize for both this and the unkept promises that I’ve made, but it is the unfortunate truth. Thank you all for your support and understanding and I hope to be publishing here again, no problem. Keep prancing on for our favorite ponies in Equestria.
Thank you and goodbye until next time (and after I publish Rainbow and Pinkie's chapters).
Signed,
20thCentury Brony.
