Hoi4 and should I get it? But it's only for EaW

So I've been looking at MLP related games and everyone's talking... actually, praising EaW (a mod in Hearts of Iron IV) for its take on MLP lore + generally good game to play. I'm pretty interested in history, WW2's alternative history (who wouldn't??) and ponies... Basically, I'm just wondering whether the game's worth it? I watched a few of D Shakey's videos and so far I like it. If anyone sees this and has played the game, please give me your opinion; also, I got back into MLP because of EaW so there's that.
