Greetings, everyone. This is Mr. J back with another movie review for today. This afternoon, I will be reviewing Batman vs Robin from 2015. This serves as a sequel to Son of Batman, and just like with the previous film, I also had to rewatch this since it's been a long time. And my goodness, this film was an absolute blast to watch! This is slightly better than the first one, in my opinion; plus, it had a lot of high stakes, character growth, and eye-catching action scenes.

This is about Robin again where we see him trying to do things his own way. However, Batman disciplines him and warns him not to follow the path his grandfather taught him. Things get a lot worse for Batman when the Court of Owls is involved. Talon convinces Robin that the only way to true victory is by eliminating crime and criminals in Gotham once and for all. Will Robin take sides with the Court of Owls and fight his own father?

This is something that I find very intriguing. Robin is sick and tired of always following rules established by Batman, and the fact that Batman was understandably harsh on him amplified his anger toward him. Talon, on the other hand, told him certain things he believed in which made it easy for him to turn against Bruce. This film basically reinforced the lesson of never taking sides against the family (the family that loves you and looks out for you).

We see more emotion in Batman too. And this time, it was a lot more personal since Talon messed with the wrong hero. Seeing the former try to put all his effort to make sure his son was safe (more so than usual) was likewise well-executed. This is probably one of the few times in the DC universe where the Caped Crusader fights an enemy as Bruce, not as Batman. I thought it was really awesome to see that, especially in the final fight.

As for Talon, he was a really well-written villain--a tragic one at that. He definitely reminds me of Darth Maul since they both went through traumatic experiences as children and had to look up to both masters who saw them as mere instruments to be disposed of. Of course, Talon had no problem in manipulating and using Robin against Batman--almost repeating the cycle of abuse. That's why he saw himself in Robin; he thought that by utilizing him for his "true" potential, he would be just as powerful as he is, not held back by anything. Jeremy Sisto did a great job voicing him in this movie.

As always, it has great animation, and the voice acting was better here than in the previous movie. They put in a lot of effort, so that's a good sign.

Overall, I had a lot of fun watching this again. I highly recommend this for you guys to check out whether or not you're Batman fans. I will give it a solid 11/10. Oh, and thanks to Kevin Conroy for voicing Thomas Wayne; may he rest in peace.

See you later, folks!

I'm suprised that you didn't give an honorable mention to the voice actor for Dollmaker, since Dollmaker was incredibly creepy for the 5 minutes of screentime he had.
