You have a story and you don't know how to end it and then suddenly it hits you. Isn't that a great feeling?

One great thing about the last episode was that it inspired me to finish my Spike story.

Admittedly when I saw the description, I was a little worried that it was going to seriously mess up the headcanon I had written so far. Not that it wouldn't have been a big deal, but still it's annoying when canon dovetails with an ongoing story. (Of course this is what I get for not finishing this).

I just need to do this. I want to write more of it, and I will, but I also don't want it's small audience waiting for an update that may not come for another two months. I need to write some more Three Gems before I can give Words the attention it deserves, and this lets me not feel the imaginary pressure of trying to crank out an update. Thanks for understanding.

Words to Live By will be getting more chapters. I'm enjoying writing it and exploring Spike as a character, as he as been largely absent from my other works. So to the few of you who have encouraged me to keep this going, thank you and fear not, the journey will continue.
