It is almost done. Just needed to change how it ended as it simply was not to my satisfaction. I also had a nice pre reader go over it and begin hitting me with a newspaper because the flow was off. Everything else is good! I won't say perfect, because once you reach 'perfect', there's no point in continuing, is there?
It will be a longer chapter! Probably four and a half thousand words (give or take), so there will be more changeling queen shenanigans to read about!
Romance. A different genre than I am used to writing. I am thinking of writing a romance. HIE, I think. I really don't know how it would turn out, nor do I know how well or badly it will be received...
But I am going to write a one-shot.
A romantic one-shot. I want to get out of my comfort zone and expand my horizons.
Hopefully this will begin to answer some of the questions readers have been asking, namely the circumstances of the 'hearing'. As plot points can become rather sloppy (not to mention nonsensical in some cases), I hope I have successfully avoided the excuse of 'because reasons' as I really want to keep my storytelling within the acceptable realms concerning the suspension of belief.
This story came out of nowhere. It popped in my head and I've been writing it ever since. I've pretty much poured most of my free time into this story because I think it needs to be told. I wanted to show a Queen who spent her life under hardships not of her doing, a warrior queen of sorts who is as unique as she is fierce.
