Violent action calls for hot colours. Prompt asked for "beating time", I complied. In hindsight, a pony beating a drum would have fit the bill. A chest mounted kick drum with see-saw top-mounted drum sticks. The heart of rock 'n' roll.

Head crabs. Head crabs are the reason Maretime Bay has so few ponies in it. Head crabs have been harvesting earth ponies for hundreds of years. Now it's Hitch's turn. He knows too much.

To get the darkness for this nightime event, I took the negative switcheroo route again. I used shades of cerulean blue to get shades of orange in the finished image.

Took the day off since it was a makeup day and I was le tired (fire ze missiles!). Worked all day. Maybe I'll draw a creepy clown next makeup day. Have this horse from last year's NATG. You might recognize her.

It's the last makeup day and I spent what time I had sweating over one (one!) line of poetry. Not even original poetry. Emphasis, meter, stressed syllables and flow are grey areas for me. So I spent two hours cobbling together nuance and cascading meanings and hoping I didn't stagger the stressed syllables the wrong way.
