Buuuut... that's all part of her character development. She wasn't born like this, obviously, she had to become this.
If the show began with her as the Princess of Friendship, then... yeah, maybe there might have been some issues, but we've seen her progress, we've seen her growth, from a friendless bookworm loser to a beloved Princess of Friendship, and I'd have it no other way.
