A free-swinging playboy (Frank Sinatra) introduces his hero-worshipping younger brother (Tony Bill) to the delights of high living in this adaption of Neil Simon's Broadway comedy about a Jewish family in New York City.

Co-producers Norman Lear and Bud Yorkin were later responsible for such TV classics as All in the Family (1971-1979), Maude (1972–1978), and Sanford and Son (1972–1977); screenwriter Lear also developed Good Times (1974-1979), The Jeffersons (1975-1985), and One Day at a Time (1975-1984), while director Yorkin's was well-known for his creation What's Happening!! (1976-1979).
