But no. As many of you know, Drug use is becoming increasingly "OK" in the west, despite what science says or not. So, should illegal narcotics be legalized for the sake of public demand, or kept banned as it is banned by science as something that should be banned?

For my idea on it. I had the idea that you should punish only the distributors of illegal drugs, and not give prison sentences to drug users if being caught with illegal drugs is their only crime. Rather, create mandatory rehab sentences. Ones where you stay. So a prison of sorts, but a little more nice. That is my thought, whats yours?
