So our museum, which is part of the Commemorative Air Force, recently acquired a 1943 halftrack with a quad .50 AA turret in the back. I'm not sure how many halftracks are in working condition now outside of reenactment groups, but ours is all original and was just repainted back to how she would've looked at the end of the war. The turret, which is operational, and the armor are all the original ones put on it at the factory and we have records showing it shot down six German recon planes as part of the Third Army. The best part is though, the guns work. Sorta anyways. They burn a propane/oxygen mixture that they "shoot". I managed to get a short video of the turret being tested before a show at our airfield.

As well as the markings for the planes shot down

My question is, does anyone know how many of the other surviving halftracks are as operational as ours?

Is that a m2?
If it is you can buy one on eBay, I think for one without a engine is like 5-15 grand so pretty cheap. But how many are in that condition I would expect very few, especially AA.

Damn thats pretty cool.

We got a m60 patton at my park.

And a sabre jet fighter i think. Im not sure.
