I'm glad you changed her name. I've never been a fan of mane 6 derivatives.
Wow, being handed the spear that gave you PTSD is a hell of a way to thank someone.
I've considered changing Twilight Aurora's name to just Aurora, but looking at Twilight Sparkle and her mother, Twilight Velvet, it seems reasonable that the name "Twilight" could be a hereditary name passed down in the mares of that line, and so I have opted for now to leave her name as is.
it is looking like we may see the first mule before to much longer.

Well keep in mind they're the prime example of "sterile."

horse or pony to donkey is vary posable you get mule or heneny depending on witch is the stallion.
as this is referring to a pony stallion to a donkey the foal would be a heneny, granted most every one still will call it a mule.
now a mule is 99% sterile.

Mules are not totally sterile, though all mule stallions are. Out of all the mule Jenney's, there have been only 60 documented cases of mules birthing foals since 1527. Those are some really long odds. You were being really generous with that 99% sterile.
Whatever future awaits Jennet and any foals she may or may not have. They would not be the "first" mules to happen in this world. Donkey's slaves are sometimes used by stallions to relieve their urges, producing the occasional mule in the process.

i am vary impressed you have looked in to this.
don't quote me but it was rumored of a mule jack hat was fertile a few decades back but i don't know if it was ever proven.

I've not heard of that one. It would be news to me if it was true.

if i remember it was back in the early 90es over in the UK and a mule jack had got a horse pregnant but it was never proved.
i am betting it was a farmer trying to get in the news.
i had a mule jack for a few years and i let him with my mares 24/7 to keep them happy and never got one foal.

a little poking around and i proved my self wrong.
roomer from China 1985 1978 1988 fertile mules no proven back up.

I knew about the Colorado one. It is my state after all, so I have that to be proud of.
You'e asking a lot here...
Yeah, that makes sense.
Those mares are strong as horses.
Some philosophical part of me just mumbles something about "the weight of responsibility".
Good chapter!
I enjoyed reading it.
