"Twilight, please stop working and come to bed!", - said Celestia as she strode into Ponyville's crystal palace workshop.
Twilight, lying with her back on the floor under her newest invention, couldn't see her former Mentor. To her luck. If she had seen Celestia's blushed face starring between her open hind legs, she would have fainted on the spot. Good, then all she was asking for was:
"Can you please give me a hammer?"
But the white and now half red alicorn, didn't answer that request, too deep she was in dreams, about what she could do with the handle of a hammer and the lavender thing in her sight.
"A hammer, please!", came now from the slightly annoyed lavender lips.
"Sorry, here you go!", replied Celestia, while she summoned her two battle hammers. Floating one under the construction.
"Not this hammer! The other one!", said the now even more annoyed inventor on the floor.
The other war hammer floated down.
"OH BY CEL" *donk* "ouch"
She felt no remorse for that little magical push. Not even her treasure shall ever swear again with her name.
"Oh, did my little princess hit her head? How often did I tell you to wear a helmet", while speaking she summoned her helmet and armour directly on to Twilight, "and protection while you work?"
Smirking, she waited until her former pupil rolled out from under construction. Which was not a wise decision on her part, she could have used a headstart. Then giving, by her subjects the so lovely nicknamed warrior princess, all her fighting gear was a big strategic error, Celestia deeply regretted while fleeing to the only place she thought be safe:
The royal bedroom.

I would love to see the story where she got that name/title The Warrior Princess, I am not alone in this am I.
5535856 No, no you are not.
It is just a thing I replace from canon with my own. Why does she have to be princess? Why can't she be a heroic fighter? Was it toy making decision or because "girls don't want be strong warriors"?
If you would see the events from the in the view of the common folk who reads only the newspaper headlines:
1. No scratch in fight as an unicorn against an alicorn. Can stall fight until back up arrives, wins with back up. (NMM)
2. Fights off godlike entity mind influences, restores her squad and takes him out. (Discord)
3. Identifies infiltrater successfully (Chrysalis).
4. Shoots blasts who can destroy walls an alicorn couldn't destroy on its own, without getting into sweat (Crystal Cave).
5. Rescues and escorts friendly foreign dignity from underground prison (Cadence, Cave).
6. Fights off army only with her squad mates, without hesitation. Still level headed enough to know when to surrender (Reveal of Changelings -> Entry Hall).
7. Identifies weakpoints of enemy's handling and swiftly exploits it to enable specialists to fulfill war winning mission (Cadence & S.Armor love powered shield).
8. Kills feared warmage and oppressor just with some help of her squad (Chrystalssss Guy).
9. Wins in in fight alone against enemy who already took over the whole country (Tirek).
10. First thing she does in a foreign place is to look for (eqg 1) or restore/rebuild (eqg2) her current weapon of choice.
11. Even her ascension could be interpreted to be Celestia's way of accolade knighthood upon Twilight. (It did make her high royalty just under the ruler and gave her later even a castle.)
What would you think, if you would read that about somepony you only heard from the news?
If someone would rewrite the scripts and drop hasbro / the pony world setting, it would be a story about the adventures of one female battle mage.
If I come to write something longer, I probably would go with a "twilight on adventure fighting strong foes for the good"-story. Earning her the nickname "warrior princess" could then be easily integrated.
