Why kill the baby? A baby has very little memory. They will always imprint on the ones who care for them as their parent, so if you find the offspring of the enemy at a young enough age before memory imprintment can occur then you can logically imprint yourself on the child as their parent and raise them to be loyal to you.
and baring that, implant a bomb into their necks just in case.
