“Now if you see here, this unassuming wooden staff?”
“I see it brother mine, what’s so special about such a simple piece of wood?”
“Well, once I put a little magic into it, thiss happenssss!”
“Brother! You’ve become a viper! How powerful and strong you are!”
“Indeed brother mine! I can now sssspit poissson over forty hoovesssss!”
“Forty hooves! That’s impressive spitting right there!”
“Very impresssive! And to top it off thiss venom isss sso toxic that it will kill a pony in under sssixty sseconds!”
“Under sixty seconds! Why who could stand up to such mighty strength? Surely now brother you are simply unstoppable?”
“Not only unstoppable, but easily reversible! Transform to and from serpent form at will with a Flim-Flam Serpent Shapeshifter Staff today for only-”
“Get the fuck out of my office.”
Overlord Rule No:34 I will not turn into a snake. It never helps.
That was great
Is this an Aladdin reference?
Forty hooves! That's like four tens and that's terrible.
~Leonzilla
I debate this one. It helps a lot if you need to escape through those distinctly-too-small-for-a-small-person ventilation shafts.
I thought rule34 would be more "fun."

Maybe it should be rephrased to: "I will not turn into a snake as my one-winged angel form. It never helps."
That still allows the form of a snake for such utility purposes like getting through tight spaces
Hmm... I thought the saying was "Brother of mine"?
If it exists, there is- wait, wrong set of rules
6509388 I think it's a Conan the Barbarian reference. James Ear Jones turned into a snake at the orgy and couldn't stop the heros from stealing his princess and crashing his party. The nostalgia critic review was hilarious, "guys, I told you to watch the place while I was a snake! Can't a guy just BE a snake for 5 minutes without something going wrong!" ;p
Is it a coincidence that rule 34 involves a snake?
... Hahahaha! That last line made me laugh my ass off. I have to ask though, where the hell did this come from? The only time I ever recall something like that happening is when Jafar used it in 'Aladdin', and that didn't seem to hurt his chances at all, it was because of an attitude problem that he lost. And even then, turning into a snake would actually be very useful in some cases.
Now we know why he ordered to kill them later.
I did not really expect it, but when i saw the title "Rule 34", I was really REALLY hoping for at least a nod at the -other- well known rule 34. Oh well...
Still liked the chapter.

Yes but then you have no hands to feel the air with and *woops* guess your snake form just found the low pressure zone indicating the pipe leading to the ducting fans!
This makes no sense.
6509534
This is from before the rules of the internet.
NO EXCEPTIONS!
6529836 yes but it would of been more fun.

No sense? This makes no sense? Name me one villain who became a snake, and who actually succeeded?

Zeus transformed into a snake and won because of it, of course his goal at the time was rape but that's why I consider him a villain.
7552294
Name me one villain that actually succeeded.

There is a whole bunch of such guys, actually.
It's just most often we encounter horribly incompetent villains. Especially in Equestria.
None of them were a snake at any point as it seems. At least one were a lizard, though.

oh, you made me think of "ohoromacu" from Naruto, who did lots of snake stuff.
BUT he lost...
