Ok, I know I'm not one to talk when it comes to matters of punctuation and all that other stuff that drives the gramma naahzees mad but your tenses are all over the place.
The return of Discord and Honeydew made for an excellent chapter. If the Side Stories ever get picked up again I would love to see how the Situation is resolved with Honeydew. I also loved how it was explained how Spike almost never gets taken on trips with the six, he is probably over at Fluttershy's taking care of the animals.
Still as entertaining a read as ever.
Thank you for continuing to share it with us.

Thanks! I'm glad you think so! It was fun finding a place for Honeydew in my story!
Oh, I think I might be able to find a way to squeeze Honeydew in at least ONE more scene, in some future chapter or so. I can't say it isn't fun writing dialogue for her!
Yep! Even when he's not part of the adventuring our beloved Mane Six are always keeping him busy.
Wow, I think Spike already has his reward, Rarity is in here with them, what else he want? Is any this should be the payment he should had being paying long time ago
At least Discord is having fun out of all of this.
2708232
Discord certainly did!
And yet, in spite of the whole humbling experience, I think it'd be fair to say that both Lero and Rarity returned home a LOT less miserable than they otherwise would've been.
P.S. -- For what it's worth, Warpd, thanks for ALWAYS being such a fun commentator. Readers like you are part of what keep me writing. Thanks!
Speak of the draconequus, and he's not going to appear, because that'd be far too predictable. Emulate the draconequus, then he may show up.
Love how Lero's prodding at the cracks and contradictions. Yes, it's probably not the best idea, but it's fascinating to watch the ponies bend over backwards to justify the inconsistencies of their warped existences.
Also, I would totally buy that cargo blouse,

--- Yep! Got it in one, Fan -- you nailed it! That's one thing Lero will never be able to quit doing throughout the whole of the story; because the stories the Swapped come up with are just a constant, ongoing source of fascination for him, (they are for me as well!)
....Though Lero HAS developed an instinct as to when he should STOP with the questioning... when cracks are standing to form on the ice he's standing on. So it's unlikely you'll see him take it TOO far.

I love this story!

I try to comment when I can. Just keep writing. It is rather dangerous to be poking holes in contradictions, but as a curious mischievous human he just can't help himself.
I do like the downward spiral that Honeydew has had over the Xenophilia series as a whole. I've seen that kind of hate destroy a person. I can see it come to a point where she snaps one day.
2708447
Yeah, Discord said he *would* be keeping an eye on Lero- and well, when he saw them *emulating* him, he couldn't resist. He's a bit of an egotist. :)
Hmmm... You know, given that Celestia and Luna are on the exclusion list, I think that they could probably help out. Not directly, but it wouldn't be too hard for them to issue an Official Royal Decree that the Bearers of the Elements of Harmony are to receive a Crown Stipend in thanks for their service to Equestria. Maybe not enough to make up for everything, but enough to help them get by a little better while they're under the spell.

They probably would/will if things get too bad- though they're probably hoping on Twilight fixing it before then. Realistically, I get the impression the Royals are trying to be as hands off as possible- they don't want to interfere too much, because it'd be conspicuous, and possibly worse, distract Twilight in a way that might prevent her from solving things.
2709129
There's also the distinct possibility that they don't actually realize that the Mane Six are having financial difficulties. Twilight's on a research project and probably hasn't thought to write about it (or, possibly, noticed it herself), Lero hasn't ever thought of "Twilight's royal connections" as an asset and with his barber-ic aversion to Celestia he might instinctively shy away from involving her anyhow, and Spike's distracted by the simple fact of living with Rarity.
Luna and Celestia, for their part, live in a castle and command a country, and no matter how they might try to stay in touch with common ponies they might well simply not think about the financial implications for them all - and, for that matter, might not be aware that Applejack isn't simply 'not as good as Rarity' but 'actively horrendous' as a dressmaker, that Pinkie can't run an apple orchard, et cetera. They might be sitting in Canterlot thinking that the Mane Six are having Comical Misadventures rather than outright misery, so not be aware they need the help.
Hope he mails back that book with a note saying "If you ever send us something so dangerous again, I'll be back to burn down the capital."
I FINALLY had a chance to read this all the way through. Fun chapter, Mike! I really, really feel for all of the characters. And Lero is simply an awesome
bonobohuman. I am still in awe of how fast you can write these chapters and do it so well.2725708
He might just send a horde of angry chipmunks. :)
2708312 Congratulation! You are my 90th favorite story hats off to yo good sir and/or madam!
I like that Lero is pushing to save the one's he love in any way he can. He is not just taking it and going with the flow.
While I like that in the original this story does not call for it and you do it right. If I may be so bold.
I really like the part with the gigantic spider bate and the whole zombie walk the others did for there life.
Plus, Discord, Wow I liked his part it was a great idea and then his own little brand of mischief help
I can't wait to see what is going to happen next
Good luck and best wishes for the future
2750338
I'm a sir and proud of it! And I'm honored to be your 90th as well, Freewing!
Exactly! Lero can't flip a switch or wave a magic wand and fix everything back, but he's an adaptor and a fighter. He'll do everything in his power to completely thwart the misery brought on by the Swap.
Well, the original story was more focused on bringing Alicorn Princess Twilight into being. I just saw such missed potential with the rest of that episode, and I'm glad you all think I'm doing a good job of conveying it!
I was rather fond of the zombie thing too!
Here's the funny thing: no matter the distance, no matter WHERE in the world Lero had happened to land at the time he fell from Rainbow Dash's back, the magic of the Swap would've led the sleepwalking Rarity straight to him with GPS satellite tracking precision.
If he'd been drowning in the middle of a lake, Rarity would have slept-swam out to him.
If Lero had been on another continent, across an ocean, Rarity would have slept-built-a-boat-and-sailed-it-across-the-ocean.
All because the very last thing on Rainbow Dash's mind before swapping was to SAVE LERO.
I know! Discord BELONGS in the Xenoverse. Always did.
And I can't wait to show you!
Stay tuned! EVEN MORE'S on its way! Stuff you WON'T be expecting!
2752240
Actually, you're entirely mistaken, Derecho. In the original Xenophilia story, there's a chapter where Twilight Sparkle casts the cloud-walking spell upon Lero so that she, he, and Rainbow Dash could make love in Dash's Cloudsdale home. And it works. (The chapter in question is called 'On Cloud Nine.')
Ergo: magic does NOT 'bounce off' Lero. So not only does Rarity's own cloud-walking spell work just as well as Twilight's did, other forms of magic, such as healing spells, will logically work upon him, too.
Thanks for asking, though! Always glad to clear up any confusion.
2752240 Good grief, people.
Fanon fanfic of a fanfic is not main fanfic canon.
2752376
Thanks, VVingnut. Believe it or not, though, I am trying my best to be as true-to-canon as I can with Xenophilia. I hope you're enjoying it, though!
2752387
...haven't read it yet.
Have a slight aversion against reading unfinished stories. Some stories i added to my read later list, way back at season one (two years ago now? three?) are still not finished. And not all of them died, they're...
being...
written...
....
....
slowly.....
2752411
Try the prologue, at least. See if at least that's to your liking!
2752240 No. Twilight in original Xenophilia casted this spell upon him and he was cloud walking with no problem. He visited Rainbow house this way.
2762463
You ought to like the next chapter, then. Please tell me if you do!
2767000
Why, thank you! I'm very, very honored!
Have you read Chapter Nine yet?
2769855
That good, huh?
(BOWS)
Thanks! To be honest, Lyra's quite a fun character to write!
I'll let you in on a little secret: we have just a FEW short chapters before Lyra returns home. I intend for her to become every bit as important a side character as Spike.
Again, thank you! It was funny: when conceptualizing this story, I asked myself, 'But WHY would the Apples permit Pinkie to WORK at Sweet Apple Acres, and even allow her to run it into the ground?' And it just clicked: Discord! Especially when I thought what Pinkie might do
if they tried to boot her OFF the farm.
Plus... I always WANTED to see Discord brought to the Xenoverse. He's just too much fun!
I have a lot of experience with screenplays, myself!
I LOVE Scott Pilgrim. Both the original graphic novels AND the Edgar Wright adaption.
I feel quiet pity for anyone who isn't a troper.
Cookie Monster... MUNCH!
More's on the way, I promise! Stay tune: you ain't seen NOTHING yet! NONE of you have!
Also, Inkblot, what did you think of those other couple chapters, (assuming you already 'slammed them down' at this point?)
It was GREAT hearing from you, Inkblot Sonnet!
I wasnt sure what I had wanted to comment on for this chapter back when it posted so I let it stew awhile, and since Mike Teavee asked me to comment now is finally the time.
At least Lero is making inroads on channeling the creative impulses of Rarity and amusing Disco-ball while they are at it. Two weeks of disrupted weather from the Weather Team leader being MIA and then the weather going completely loopy since her return has to have the citizenry quite on edge. Also a very nice dodge on explaining why the rest of the EoH are going to get help from him. Too bad he cant hint that "oh, the other 4 friends were hurt by a misfired spell and need all our help to get through this." since that might spark a timebomb crack in her own mind that might pop at random when she's asleep or idly thinking. *wait... why is everypony in the group but me or twilight affected... Twilight cast it, but I.... seem to be...fine..? Wasnt Lero telling me a dream about Dashie's mind being swapped?... *SNAP*
Now Honeydew is truely pathetic in this chapter. She regularly commits borderline treason trying to start stuff with "THE FIRST HERD OF MEMBERS OF THE EoH", but in this one she feels closer to going completely crazy than ANY of the swapped EoH. I think she needs a close eye kept on her or a stay in the rubber room next to Screwloose before she does something that will get her a one way ticket to banishment or "the Garden"...
Hmmm, are agents of the Fey going to use her as their pawn?
uh, not that I ever had any fashion sense anyways....

The line that mentions forcing ponies to live in Seattle for a month made my day. I would subsequently laugh as they tried in futility to make sense of our weather here.
Wouldn't be a proper Xenophillia without the xenophobe.
Bonobo, a species of monkey that would sooner have sex than say hello. It's actually rather fitting. A neat counter would have been to say that regular stallions can only go for one round while bonobos are built to go at it all day long.
Does AJ have to make fancy dresses? Couldn't she satisfy her compulsion by making more practical garments, something she'd be more comfortable making?
