Applejack made a mistake a few months ago and has been carrying it around with her ever since. Literally.

In a word...no.
Phew! You got me worried for a bit. Having the Dragon alone with mares talking about sex and with one being so mad with oher pony... You know, there's this recent trend involving Spike and intimate situations and pranks... Nevermind, nevermind.
Great chapter, a great change of pace from the previous one. The final lines are golden. That's Flim, all right.
This part.
This had me laughing exactly one minute and thirty-six seconds. I timed it. It's like "Miscommunication: The Musical!"
Twilight is the best character in this, I swear.
And hell no this isn't the last we've seen of Flim.
Something tells me Twilight wouldn't just let things end like that, she knows AJ can sometimes be too stubborn for her own good, and she's just not the type to give up on her friends that easily.
Also, for all we know Flim might have taken off to the farm, he didn't seem convinced that leaving was really what he wanted.
Great chapter, I really enjoyed Twilight and AJ's little conversation, it's nice that AJ does know she has her friends and relies on them.
Oh Flim, you ambulatory Arctic Monkeys song you....
God, Susie, I love your work.
Oh, most definitely. Story's over, everypony, go home!
Last of Flim? I think not. But I hope that it do not end with him returning when she is born and older. My hope is that they can forgive each other before there baby is born. And also, we most know how Berry Punch is felling and AJ most ask for forgiveness for what she said.
This chapter moved me a great deal. I ended the last chapter furious at Applejack, and then I read this one, including that detail about her saving up for her prom dress and... now I just feel sorry for her.
Have we seen the last of Flim? Certainly not. He's going to return to see the baby at the least. Is he going to come back to win Applejack's heart? On that I'm fairly pessimistic. Flim wasn't here for this chapter, as far as he knows Applejack's prejudice against bisexuals is set in stone. Even though he clearly loves her, as far as he can tell she will never be able to accept him for who he is, and that's just too big a barrier for a relationship to work. It sounds like Twilight wants to go track Flim down, but the problem is that even at the end of this chapter, Applejack still has "hangups" about bisexuals.
If Twilight confronts Flim (probably not that hard to find, she has to realize that Flim is in Trixie's wagon), the first thing he's going to ask Twilight is "is Applejack willing to accept me for who I am." When Twilight says "no, but I hope that one day she will," I doubt that's a good enough reason to come back. Twilight is better off staying and helping Applejack work through her prejudice until she can go find Flim and tell him "Applejack will accept you if you come back."
On the other hand, as Twilight's own story demonstrates, time is a factor here, ponies move on and all that. I think Applejack had better be prepared to go through a lot of personal growth really quickly, or she'd better be prepared to be a single mother.
Oh, and I do hope we get to see more on the Mac and Cheerilee front at some point.

Whaaaat? Show me!
5892401
Did I get her adorkability right?
5893095
Thank you so much! But what song are you talking about? (Google wasn't helpful)
5893333
There's still plenty of time before the baby is born! And AJ does have some damage control to do, doesn't she?

But Twilight doesn't yet know that Trixie's in town, though (she parked her caravan on the outskirts and, besides the hospital visit, has been keeping a low profile. Twi's probably torn at the point between trying to "fix" everything, and trying to be a good friend; hopefully she can find a good balance.
I love it all it was a awesome and beautful read .This just gets better and better .I hope that Applejack and Flim get makeup soon .And that Twilight can 1join aherd with them or two find the right Cultfried.I can't wait to see what happens next to and between them all next
5895542 And her total awareness of the situation, yet with the right amount of patience to help Applejack see the error of her ways, mostly on her own.

Totally agree there on both counts.
5892985 Absolutely. Farm? Hmmm. That could prove ... interesting. I'm not so sure if Flim would be looking to run a foul of 'Big Red' again ... On the other hoof, ... Bloom can be rather unexpectedly insightful. What ever and where ever Flim's revelation takes place I'm sure it will be appropriately dynamic.
Good show again Sue. I feel like I've been repeating that like a mantra for the last dozen chapters ... in variations. But it's true, you're a wizard at dialogue and social dynamics of conversation. Nice roller coaster with some good angst and feels. Although this is the first time I've noticed typos
I think there's a 'her' missing before 'own'. Such a lovely line too (probably why such a grammatically obtuse like myself even noticed it).
Hmm, next chapter Flim's Flimsy Self Excuses can't hide the emotional smoking hole he helped put there ... you've shown he's not a dull razor, but I'm thinking he may be wallowing in an old saying about how 'a tongue too sharp one can slit one's own throat'.

I don't think Twilight would try to "confront" Flim, so much as just try to get both sides of the story and try to find common ground. She wouldn't take a shotgun with her or anything (not that she needs to, given that she's basically a living cannon), but you know, try to extend her hoof in friendship and attempt to mend their relationship. Of course she can lose control and get a little too impulsive sometimes, but that's to be seen, if it happens.
In any case, if someone is to play the role of the straight mare in this mess it might as well be the princess of the crazies.
5896548 I agree, but it does sound like she wants to get them back together, and unless/until Applejack gets over her prejudice, any contact between Twilight and Film would be counterproductive (unless Twilight is willing to lie).
Fantastic chapter, this story keeps getting better and better with each installment!
SUZIE STOP DOING THIS TO ME.
Based on the recent episode, I imagine the mare in Twilight's story was Moondancer.
