Applejack made a mistake a few months ago and has been carrying it around with her ever since. Literally.

It LIVES! And it's glorious!
Also, I'm getting the feeling that Flim's secret is going to come out in the worst way possible. It has all the signs of becoming a train wreck. I gotta say the scene between Big Mac and Flim was oddly satisfying.
Also also, a Pokey, Flim, and AJ sandwich. I'd be cool with that, just sayin'. Or an encounter between Flim and Big Mac. Though, AJ would probably kill them both...
Oh boy! Drunk ideas are the best/worst ideas.
Everything about this chapter was awesome. I feel rather sorry for everyone involved, but cannot stop laughing at them. Also Flim/Mac action is hot.
Oh, oh! *raises hand* I know the trick Zecora did - they showed it on Once Upon a Time.
...Dammit, Toni, think! *slaps self*
...
...ok, I had to look it up (shame on me?), but if the necklace swings back and forth, it's a boy, but if it goes in a circle, it's a girl!.
AND THEN THEY FUCKED!
I kissed a boy and I... liked it?
Dangit, I wanted to know if it's a colt or a filly!
And screw the rest of Ponyville! Judgmental dicks.
Please, please, please let AJ's foal be a Unicorn. That "We have to do things Earth Pony Style" attitude just makes me want to stab Mac so hard.
And Flim should really just out himself. Theres the 'your wife should know about these things before marriage' angle and the fact that it'll be hilarious. For me.
Mac is being an obstinate douche, and his punishment is to make out with a dude. AJ is lusting for a hot gay dude. Soarin is getting drunk with a teammate.

i literally thought that big mac was going to kill him right then in there, or mount but sadly theirs no "Clop" warning
but this is a great chapter and the African tradition is a VERY nice touch, though i need to look up what it means so i can be cleaver! >:P
this is literally turning into one of my fave stories, i can see myself going back to both and re reading them, hell ill make sure to put it in my nook when its done X3
anyway dieing to see where this is going! and to see how Cheerliee gossips about this, i can already hear pokey murrring
*Reads second sentence* Oh sweet Celestia... p-please, excuse me, I-I need a moment to contain myself!
...
*Squeal* Misty Fly, freagin Misty Fly! Yes! Just so much yes!
So I was waiting eagerly for some more context about this whole scandal Misty Fly was apparently involved in.
Then, that cliffhanger happened. My reaction:
~
Now with all seriousness, my god, this chapter was freaking amazing!
Just- oh my god, everything, from the character interactions, to the emotions, to the humor, was just extremely well done. I see your Misty Fly has a slightly conniving side, I like this development haha. Dat English humor though:
(For those of you wondering what I'm giggling like a madwoman for, take a gander at reamed's alternate meaning: vulgar slang to have anal intercourse with someone.)
~
Anywho, it's really hard for me to decide what about this chapter is my favorite part, putting my Misty Fly bias aside, I would probably say Applejack's interactions with Pokey Pierce were the best. I was just absolutely cracking up with nearly every line of their dialogue. And daang, so is Pokey like that really hot guy that every girl swoons over, only to be utterly crushed when he says that he's gay? Cuz I'm totally getting those vibes from him.
Out of morbid curiosity, what made you think he was gay? Was it just his awesome dance moves from that one episode?
~
You know, I like how this story and your one about Big Mac correlate with each other. Although, I'm having a bit of trouble seeing how Cheerilee's little joke was mean spirited. I thought she was joking about how it would be hard to tell if Big Mac stopped talking to someone since he doesn't say much beyond Eeyup and Nope. Ah well. Hmm, now correct me of I'm wrong here, but was his stuttering near the end when he first sees Cheerilee a reference to your story about him, or was he still just in shock over what Flim just did? Or was it both, like when he gets nervous and/or is rushing to say something does he have trouble getting his words out?
~
Wow, my ADHD is showing hard in this comment, look at me just jumping from topic to topic with no sense of direction whatsoever. I wanted to say though, I'm glad we finally get to know what Applejack's foal is going to be! Took some scouring on the interwebs but I finally found it. And I can't wait to see what the rest of the family thinks of the news. Hmm, I'm wondering now if Zecora also has the ability to tell what race the baby is. Hmm... Considering who Zecora is, and all the mystique to her character, I wouldn't put it past her.
~
Anyway, I'm so glad a new chapter is out, it was amazing, as always, and I can't wait to see what you have in store for us in the next chapter ! Cheers, and happy writing

I loved it all it was awesome I hope that Flim and AJ except that they love each other and stop fighting it .I can't wait to see what happens between them all next and what happens next to them all.It is going to be driving me crazy wondering what sex the baby is you are evil I need to know.
4399603
What the hell does that mean?
4399281
They'll find out a bit more about the baby in the next chapter. Although I'm considering a short chapter that shows the conversation between Mac and Cheerilee, if only to expand on his feelings on the matter (and hopefully make him a bit more sympathetic).
4399667
Actually, it was a story by RagingSemi. Because it's NSFW, I can't link directly to it, but it's called "Special Talents". I'm sure you can find it if you look
She didn't intend it to be, but she had promised to never make fun of him for the stuttering problem, and it was enough for AJ to find it offensive. Does that clear it up a bit?
Yup, it was both. It's been maybe 15 - 20 years since the other story, so he can speak fairly normally now (when he wants to!), but it comes out when he gets flustered, embarrassed, or scared. My stammer was never as bad as his, but it still pops out every now and then.
4401567 it means like going "Oh MMMMMY <3"
So, what can I say about this story, except that I love it...
Well, I guess I could talk about some of the things I love it for, in no particular order. The clop is excellent, for example. You show sex between partners who are highly into each other, accurately convey the desires involved, and don't let your clop get bogged down into dull vanilladom through bad prose or bad chemistry (something lacking from most of FIMfictions clop authors).
You're fantastic at one of the key parts of crack shipping, which is making the pair fall for each other at the right pace, without it seeming contrived. You can actually see Flim and Applejack as they go from mutual disrespect to beginning to understand each other a little better. Their sex goes from purely drunken and physical, to purely desire fueled, to a mixture of emotion and desire. Flim says he's falling for her, and the reader believes him (or wants to, at least).
I love your characterisation of Trixie. You can see the self-esteem and dependency issues written all over her, but you haven't made her a hopeless woobie or a talentless butt monkey. She's a talented performer with mental health issues, but not defined by them. I find this a wonderful thing, for reasons.
There's lots more I love about this fic, and if you ever chat to me and ask me about it, I could probably name a dozen more things, but I'm not great at long form praise comments even for authors who richly deserve them.
Also, this line is incredible:
Oh my, what a load this was. Very well presented, and I applaud you on your ethnographic research, a solid hallmark of a good and dedicated author. I'm a little put off with the level my gayger counter is tripping at (trauma related), but excellently done and classy. I hope this isn't a pretext to chucking Mac out of a closet or just setting up a three way with Flim, AJ, and Pierce, though I'm sure that if you so chose to do so the result would be well handled.
I actually found the issues of social sigma on AJ and the conversation with Cheerilee, Cup Cake, and Zecora to be my fave parts of this chapter. Also I did like how you handled Flim confronting Mac, despite the gayger counter spike, and how Mac is reacting badly to the whole sexual aspect of the relationship between Film and AJ. I almost see Mac as being so out of touch with that aspect of life except by the writ of social guidelines that he can quote line and verse just because of what he's had to basically throw himself into because of the loss of his folks. I would dearly like to have some introspective POV from Mac in an upcoming chapter, or maybe Apple Bloom hashing out her views on the whole thing with the CMC's.
Just waiting for the next fine addition to a wonderfully spun tale.

I... wow. The reason it took me so long to respond is because I'm floored! Thank you very much!
4430795
Sorry! I didn't mean to upset anyone. And, no, Mac's not in a closet (at least, not in this storyline), and I can't see that kind of threeway happening here, either. Don't worry.
I think you might have lost me with that line, but I'm not sure. Could you elaborate?
4437597 Oh don't worry about having offended me. The piece was quite well done, and a good piece of literature is capable of taking an individual out of their comfort zone and not being offensive, and you most certainly haven't offended here. Kudos to you on that.
Actually its drawing somewhat from your piece Breaking the Sound Barrier and some of my own interpretation from my Apple Series on Mac. Mac, I think, has had a really hard time coping with the loss of his parents, and his basically becoming the main labor on the farm having placed him in a state of deeper insulating social isolation. This has basically halted any greater social development on his part. Hence, he really can only see the 'normative' social relationships between mares and colts from the dogma of literally 'first comes love, then marriage, then AJ with the baby carriage'. What is going on now may be just too much for him to deal with, socially at least, and he is really trying to return a sense of that protective normalcy, that has allowed him to 'not' deal with the issue of the loss of his parents. Of course any such return is an utter impossibility at this point given what has transpired.
Of course this is just the opinion of one old racehorse. The story here is yours, and I do wish to see what and where you are going to go with this.
I got to say, I don't like Big Macintosh in this story. He is entirely in the wrong here. He has threatened someone at gunpoint, kidnapped them, is holding them against there will, and assaulted them. Flim, on the other hand, hasn't done anything illegal so far. Does Equestria just not have any laws or something? From what I can tell, Big Mac is well on his way to going to prison!
4545432
Yeah... it would be a shame if that somehow eventually caught up with him...
4545432 good point. Lol
Why... did I think of Fleetfoot first?
