Awesome chapter. Ive been waiting for these updates like they were the most important things on the planet and thats saying something. Keep up the good work!
You're pretty sure the word juicy is floating around in her head.

I'll pop up a review, if I can, after I've read the next chapter.
onto the next chapter!
also, i noticed an error in the conversation with pipe. You put it as "slate rubbed his head with his hoof." just a small error, nothing big.
Of mice and men reference? also "You wouldn't think you could sweat buckets when it's fifty degrees out" that's swimsuit weather where I come from
You know, I've seen the "faced a goddess, a dragon, and chaos itself" bit way to many times. It's not that it's bad as far as being in the story but you have to think. Almost none of those actually required skill rather than a lot of bravery. Yes, they COULD have killed the elements if they made the attempt but did any of them actually give it a serious try? Did any of the elements have to dodge around and fire back using skills of evasion and combat prowess? Nightmare moon was mostly a bunch of trickery and mockery that was defeated by her lack of attacking when her enemies were exposed, instead only mocking them and then listening and watching patiently as the elements got into working order. The dragon did get violent but non other than Fluttershy and her stare could stop it and if that hadn't worked and the dragon just got annoyed, he could have easily splattered them. Same with chaos, if you remember right, it was just clever tricks and mocks until they all got together and then basically told discord they were going to shoot him if he didn't shoot first, only his mocking and overconfidence in his ability to withstand their attack saved them. Add some brains or truly malicious intent to any of these villains and you have six dead/defeated ponies. Then consider that you still have a few others who could have slaughtered them if actual intent was in them (diamond dogs, the many denizens of Ever-free forest, and i don't think they've faced her yet but Chrysalis and her changelings...)
The story is great, don't get me wrong, it's just that I've heard this line in a few stories now and it irritates me on just how little weight this would hold if they actually got in a situation where the aggressor was wanting to kill.
...they know the sister to the captain of the guard and celestia herself (pinches bridge of nose) and you don't tell either about what you're doing of your suspicions....WHY!!
still hope he doesn't beat slate too bad..use a sack of oranges
Four days is too long to wait.
Don't know if that was intentional or not, but it is most certainly an impeccable choice of words.
Since I have read The Secret life of Rarity I got my imagination on how to lure Slate out of his home.

If nothing else, in the second episode she ran up to that manticore and bucked him in the face while everyone else was standing around.
First one to try and solve the problem with violence, actually. Lol. "Take that, you ruffian!"
2006400 I see what you did there!
Forgot to mention last chapter that I really liked seeing the 'slightly' kinder side of Cashmere. It makes me think she may have some redeeming qualities yet. Considering I wanted to reconfigure her face early on, color me impressed.
EDIT: And it's 4am, (thanks daylight savings...) ONWARD to Chapter 16!
