Now Luna rules a land without a sun, and her prize student Twilight Sparkle believes she sees omens that the power responsible for the banishment of the sun will soon return.

Spike knows he has a crush on Rarity. But after a dream, he finds he may be developing a crush on Twilight as well. While he tries to sort out his feelings, he gets help from an unlikely pony.

As Spike grew up, he left Ponyville and everything behind 1300 years ago. Now he's lonely, bitter and considering to end his own misery. But then, ponies who he hadn't seen for a thousand years come to his territory. He found hope, and a will to endure.

NOTE: I deleted my other Endurance story so I could make the name of this story shorter.

After a brief spat with Spike over a seemingly trivial matter Twilight decides that in order to learn more about dragons she should try to become one. With a simple spell she transforms her little pony self into a larger dragon and quickly realizes that she has no way to change back available to her....

With each others help, Spike and Gilda fight to find their place in a world that will not accept them.

Twilight and Spike are sent a message from Princess Celestia, stating that a dragon will be staying in Ponyville. Spike has to go into hiding, Twilight has to organize the arrival and the others have to cope with the usual insanity. Oh... and the crusaders are doing their thing. Do I smell doom?

After a long day of work, Spike shares an intimate moment with Rarity that sparks a budding relationship. Together, the two recover from tragedy and move toward an uncertain future and inevitable conclusion.

A short romance set several years after the conclusion of the series.

It has been five years since he first arrived in Ponyville, and Spike has grown both physically and emotionally. Yet even though he's remained infatuated with Rarity for so long, he's bottled up his feelings, until reality hits him, and his depression forces him to make certain decisions he may later come to regret. Now he must face reality, and all that it entails, including his own reflection, whether he likes it or not.

Spike's choices, however, affect not only him, but those closest to him as well. The six ponies he holds closest to his heart will bear witness to his suffering, and they themselves shall know love at its best...

And at its worst...

Rated Teen, because, just in case. Sometimes it's better to be safe rather than sorry. No sex or gore, just in case you were wondering.
