What is High Quality Spike Shipping all about?

Well this group has quite the story. Despite its interesting past, this group is currently dedicating to finding and promoting the very best Spike shipfics. We're looking for any Spike shipfics that you think are exceptional. We have a small team of reviewers that will work, look through the fic and basically scrutinize it and decide whether it's high quality or not.

How will you judge these fics?

We have a small team of reviewers currently. The process is rather informal, but we will generally be judging on the consistency of the plot, relevance of the romance, characterization, grammar and syntax, and originality. Of course we're hoping to be able to provide you readers the very best that Spike shipfics have to offer.

Wait, so you're judging fics on stupid things like grammar? How are you different from EQD or any other review group then?

Well for starters, Equestria Daily doesn't accept Spike shipfics unless he's aged up, nor do they accept mature rated fics. So there's that. There's also the fact that I don't think any of us are anywhere near as strict as EQD. This group is simply designed to be a directory for good fics as opposed to the main Spike shipping group which is really just a waste collection for view whores, put bluntly. (Not that there's anything wrong with that, by the way) We're also not a review group. If you're an author looking for a review, then there are many other good groups out there. There is no rating system in this group. A fic either passes or fails review.

How do I go about submitting a fic?

You may submit either your own work or somebody else's work into the 'Incoming' folder. Once the fic is in the folder, it will be in a queue to be judged by our moderation team, so please don't go and submit every Spike shipfic on the site. We simply won't be able to keep up. Don't worry if you're submitting other people's work; being rejected from the group will in no way affect anyone's story negatively.

Oh, okay then. What if I don't think a fic should be in the group?

Your best bet would be to PM YourNeighbourhoodAlicorn or Vexy with a reasonable and clear explanation of why. If your claim is valid then the fic can go under re-review.

Can I become a reviewer?

Of course. Just check out this thread and write a little bit about yourself.
