WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Twilight lives.
I knew something was gonna happen.
and the world felt love and joy coursing trough her at that moment
Knew it.
I still can't believe that people throw shit at authors for what they want to do. It's their story, you're the reader. They can do whatever they want. Loyal, don't be disheartened by these asshats.

HAAAAAALELUJAH!
ok im calm now
2677079
Was just about to say that as well xD
And we all should've know this would happen, but the path it took to get there was so worth it
I was about to start throwing things if this had a sad ending. :D But only 1 more chapter to go D':<
FFFFFUUUUUUUCCCKKKKKK YYYYEEEAAAAHAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
my only question is... wouldn't she be able to speak with luna and celestia like the Night is able to if she went with the god choice? honestly after nearly 200 years they would really be the only ones she'd want to have direct contact with and she'd be able to do so much more for ponies from that point...
ON TO THE NEXT CHAPTER
Why does no one ever choose the God option? Seriously.
Eesh.
I have lots of thoughts right now. Some are kind. Many are not. I feel like you've... well, it feels like you've just gone 'I'M SO CLOSE I CAN FINISH' and pushed through a bit faster than you usually do. This chapter- and the two before it- feels a little... weird. Not bad, just weird. It doesn't fit with the other chapters, at least not in terms of style, and there's some problems that bug me.
Also, as an ending, it's a bit unfortunate that it feels so cliche. I can't help but think how proud of you I would have been if you'd gone with the 'Twilight becomes a proper god, Equestria explodes' route, because haha noone would see that coming(NOT SAYING YOU SHOULD HAVE, just joking about how that would have surprised people).
I mean, I saw this coming... about the same time the prophecy was first mentioned, honestly. Or maybe it was when the twiluna became apparent, I can't recall.
One really disappointing thing is all the comments I've seen from you(the author) saying things like "ask yourself 'Do I really want to trash an author who has just finished the most emotional and meaningful thing he's ever worked on?'", and all I can remember is you responding to my earlier criticisms of this story by saying it was 'just a pony clopfic on the internet'. Feels a bit cheap when you're willing to take either side to shut down criticism.
Commence read.
That's nice.
I'm getting the hopeful feeling of a possible sequel here mainly because we have no true idea of what choice Twilight made. I mean it looks like she went with the alicorn option but then early the Night says that she would have the power to save Equestria and the whole living forever with the sun and the moon...I mean gods live forever don't they?
Even more feels. This is a masterpiece. I have cried at least 4 times on the inside and once openly.
more

this time at least they're tears of happiness...

Who else thinks My Little Dashie would make a kick-ass movie?
2708292 I SECOND THOSE FEELS!!!
Damn. And I thought Final Fantasy games were large scale.
“Oh! Forgive me… I forgot you’re still used to having gravity, and light… I’m sorry.”
I light of what was happening this was far too funny. This honestly helped me to be able to finish the rest of this chapter. Now, to finish the story.
Spark: .................................I.....I dunno what to say just....god dang it you're evil biggest flipping fake out I've seen in a story EVER (and trust me I read alot) I just...;-; god I was actually tearing up when I read all this and then she came back...
Just...YOU'RE BUCKING EVIL FOR DOING THIS TO ME!!!
It's been ages since a twist actually touched me like this, so often the twists are obvious but this one...so well done...Great story...great chapter, now...onto the last one
In the beginning of this chapter:
End of last chapter:
2708292 You do know they did turn it into a movie right? If not here[youtube=www.youtube.com/watch?v=PiBohDujLPs]
Well... the question that Day and Night seem to be asking would be clear, but if Twilight answers this in any way I'd expect her to, (I'm typing this bit right before her answer) then she'd believe that feeling the pain of watching all those she grows to care about die in front of her is worth it to soothe the pain of the one she loves: Luna.
Well, that choice made... I feel like I'll give my final thoughts after the short epilogue. Though this was a very nice chapter, filled with great emotions and a foreboding sense of annihilation... Twilicorn.

Holy Deus Ex Machina, Batman! And in the most literal sense of the term, no less. At first I thought that the story was heading for the ultimate mind fuck: that Twilight's essence would use the inconmensurable energies of the arcane imbalance as a fulcrum to fuel her ascension, i.e., that the Prophecy needed to fail in order to become true in the end. But nope, direct divine intervention it is.
I don't know why Celestia beats herself over "putting so much worth on the words of prophecy". It's not as if Fate gives you any say in the matter
Should be "know"
THE FEEEELS!!!!!!!!

2681547 There is 1 problem with the God option:
It sucks to know everything. You know why? Because knowing everything means that you know exactly who will grow up to be a mass-murderer, but you cannot do anything to stop them from doing so (even as they do it in your name), as their actions will bring about the greatest hero and a time of prosperity, which will last until some douche disrupts it all, but you can't stop that because...
Not to mention that you'd know exactly how many people called out your name as they masturbated, and how many of them had vore porn that included you.
The god option is clearly superior. First of, the potential good she can do is momentously higher. Second, if she is omnipotent or nearly so, surely she could have an avatar in the world and could have her eternity with Luna. It would be best for the world in general if sue watches over all, it would greatly fulfill twi's ambitions of knowledge and magic power and the princesses would only be slightly worse off for not being on the same level, if that. Massive upside, negligible downside - she really made the wrong choice.
I have to admit that this ending disappointed me a bit. From the first word she said in the beginning of the chapter, we all knew she was coming back. This entire chapter just dragged out what we already knew with 0 suspense of impending doom. I would have rather a more comical ending. Like, the doom ball proofing out of existence and Luna moping up to her room. Only to find the balcony doors open and twilight sitting there in her lingerie (That now fits). That or twilight simply walking up behind Celestia and Luna, picking Luna up in her magic, shushing their startled exclamations of joy and confusion with a raised hoof, and declaring that her and Luna were taking a much needed vacation after over 100 years without a day off. One simply dose not die, have their body turned to stars, talk to both gods, and come back 100 years younger with a new set of wings without needing a well earned break.

At the expense of Equestria? All the lives there that would be lost? This was the worse of the two choices? Um, are you talking about yourself, or Twilight? Since when has she ever been interested in pure power? Even all the knowledge of the world isn't as important as the ponies she loves. She has the same love for Equestria that Celestia does, and desires to protect it as she always has. This ending fits the character. Clearly, you have very little understanding of Twilight, or her motivations. You must like and write those god-awful EvilTwilight fics.
And suddenly no longer mad.
I don't understand it, I would think this book to be a masterpiece, my favorite out of all of the books ive ever read, better than Shakespeare or some other dumb old author. Yet nobody would know of it's existence, less they were a brony. Maybe it's just because I feel passionate for the show, but even then, if you were to take this book and re-publish it with human characters, without any relations to the show, I bet it would get the Newberry medal on the spot. Maybe that's just me spitting nonsense, as I dont really read other books besides fanfics. Anyways, thank you loyal, for making this story for us to read, one more chapter for me and its on to the next Book!! Although my last comment wasn't fullfilled, (the one about twi's dream) I still feel like the ending was very good and full of emotion for me. I have never felt so bad for a fictional character in my entire life compared to this, the author did a very good job on the emotional side, I can safely say that it's this story's strong suite. He does an exceptionally good job at making the reader feel the way he want's us to, and at a crazy high rate, even for my standards. The ending was just too much though, he wanted to add so much it was insane how much information he gave the reader in just 2 short chapters, and quite frankly, I didnt really enjoy reading that part. It didn't feel like the information had any meaning at all and was made purely for the sake of the reader knowing what was going on. I never like fast-forwarding in a story, and that really killed those chapters for me. Well until the ending at least, which OMG, it was filled with the good stuff, you don't want your friends to die, and reading twilight become older and older just tore my heart apart. It really reminds you how tragic losing loved ones really is, which i've never experienced before. You don't want them to go, and Luna was a perfect impression of that feeling. Just thinking of your supreme ruler, over your entire country, whom which you love dearly, bawling her eyes out, choking on her own breath for the sheer amount of saddness she is feeling, and the archmage who shaped the future for centuries to come, dies at the young age of... 196? (I think) Anyways, I h as ve no more words for this masterpiece, so much has been left unsaid from me, but to tell you the truth, I could go on about this all night if I wanted to. Just know that this book is an absolutly outstanding read and I would highly reccomend you to read it, if your on the wall about it. I give this book a 11/10, nuff said.
Oh.. would you look at that. There's such a thing as a sob of happiness. Huh.
... No words...
I live. I die. I live again...
No words...
No words to describe this...
6953776 Your so right about there being no words to descripted this because it's just to much, I sure is no word to descript this chapter in history.
Very good work on this.
A capital N is required

If you are a god what is stopping you from changing it is yourself. You see the great scheme of things and push it where you want it to go. If you master destiny that mass murderer is part of the plan, YOUR plan and you know it is worth it.
If there is a destiny above you then you are not a true god, but just being with great power and you are free to toil to make it all better, you can change the said mass murder and maybe even understand why it must happen.
Choosing not to know is to accept what you could have changed.
And as the last question goes, does it matter? You see their soul, and if you wanted you could get them a loving partner who is into the same things and it would stop. And thus is formed a new way of prayer which works.

At expense of Equestria? You put knowledge into the Twilight's head which is not there. She does not know how the prophesy goes and is walking her own path. To her there is no danger whichever option she would choose. And yes it is the worse option, if you do not grasp the power someone else will. Even more if her fate would have been to say yes this would have imploded the whole universe with prophesy effect no?
The meme of "Do not reach for power, for it is evil" is quite... well it is naive and childish. If you do not act, someone will act in your stead and take the future where she or he wants it to go. Is this noble?
Edit:
Oh yeah, story is excellent too! But as usual kind of disagree with some choices! Keep at it you are good at this writing thing.
