This story is a sequel to Appledashery

After Rainbow Dash's many heroics, she reaches the lowest of lows. But then there's a glimmer of light. Freckled light.

This is the continually evolving story of two mares who--by fate or by felicity--are both inevitably drawn to one another. As a pair, they'll experience the highs and lows of life: the likes of which only they can share together.

There is a whole part of Equestrian life that almost never sees the light of day, just as there are those ponies that are asleep during Luna's night. It can be tough for friendship and love to flourish under such circumstances. When the bat pony stallion 'Shadow Guard' finds him self besotted by the honest and hard working Applejack, can he win her heart? Can a relationship of ponies of such different worlds ever work?

This story is a spin off of "The Mission of Buzzbot." So I would suggest reading it first, but it's not vital.

Something's going on. First, Applejack comes in Thursday and says we should go to Manehattan this weekend, then the second she steps hoof off the train, she starts dressing up, drops the accent, and says we should take in a show. I'm not sure what's going on, I think it's got something to do with her snooty aunt and uncle, but whatever it is, I'm going to get to the bottom of it, or my name isn't Rainbow Dash.

Disclaimer: To readers not familiar with the Orchestra-verse, Sweetie and Scootaloo are the leads in their own story, and they've come a long way from their show counterparts. This story is perfectly accessible without reading those works, just know they'll be behaving differently than they would in the show (and are substantially older, though that's a bit more obvious in the story).

As always, special thanks go out to Seether00 and EquesTRON for wading into the weeds of my drafts and hacking away at all the typos, grammar editors, and just plain bad decisions. My stories would be all the poorer without them.

Some secrets need to be kept, and others need to be set free; but sometimes, not even the Element of Honesty can tell the difference. How do you tell your family the truth about something that you can't even admit to yourself? When Applejack begins to realize that she may have feelings for a friend, she needs to find the courage to accept who she really is before she can truly be happy.
