There is a whole part of Equestrian life that almost never sees the light of day, just as there are those ponies that are asleep during Luna's night. It can be tough for friendship and love to flourish under such circumstances. When the bat pony stallion 'Shadow Guard' finds him self besotted by the honest and hard working Applejack, can he win her heart? Can a relationship of ponies of such different worlds ever work?
This story is a spin off of "The Mission of Buzzbot." So I would suggest reading it first, but it's not vital.

Thank you for your comment, I did some research and found that people called Luna's bat styled guards by many names. Negasi, bat ponies, dark pegasus and so forth. Black peagsus sounds just as cool and I am glad your brought this to my attention
I will be sure to consider using it in future chapters.

Shadow Guard was wrong about negasi being created by magic.
It would have taken their collective mommies and daddies a few goes at some 'hot & passionate' magic to create every single one of them.

The italicized parts make this chapter fun to read. I like having an idea of how you portray batponies because everyone does it differently. The part about goggles for daylight is not universal for instance.
