The Elements of Harmony find themselves facing an old evil united with one from beyond their world entirely, bringing magic so alien that Equestrian magic cannot defend against it. Yet, long ago, when the Elements existed in a different form, they summoned aid from beyond the world to defeat a similar threat from beyond.

Out of desperation, today's Elements repeat that ancient summoning, and they get – a hillbilly with a silver-strung guitar?

Many months after Alex appeared in Equestria, he is living with the mare who took him in, and gave him a home. That mare was Lyra Heartstrings. Although the two fell in love, it was soon evident that she was not all she seemed to be.

The mare kept him away from other ponies, alienating him to all of Ponyville. He couldn’t get a job, nopony would make more then idle chit chat with the man in fear of what she might do to them. She was clearly, obsessed.

But enough was enough, he sees how wrong it is, and takes a stand against her. But that may prove to do more harm, then good to every-pony involved.

This will be a short story, around 10 chapters or so. Romance, family, a couple of dark/sad moments. Rated T for the moment. I doubt there will be any clop, major gore. But there may be violence and other abusive elements.

I had a great life. No problems. Good friends. Good family. Good life. I even got to enjoy a bit of adventure on my vacations. Just about all of that went down the tubes when I got zapped into a land of cartoon ponies. I didn't even like cartoons. That's not too bad, but the worst part was that when I apparently got shape shifted I lost my sight. It took a while for me to figure it out, but on the whole, my good life was gone entirely.

I'm Griffin, not much else to it. I've been bullied most of my life, which left me bitter and sarcastic. I'm a closet brony. What? That's when cosmic powers decide I need to take a trip to my favorite fantasy land. But all is not sunshine and rainbows and it certainly won't be after I'm done with it. Equestria from the point of view of an extremely pissed off teenager, with a twist. The name's Volde. Well, at least that's what I called myself when I got here. My old name is unimportant now, forgotten. I was sent here for some reason, I don't know why I was chosen to be sent here of all people, I'm not at all remarkable. A lot of the people you hear about coming here are usually smart, fast, or are good fighters in general. Not me though, I was just your average joe, just sinking into the background and going with the flow while staying quiet most of the time. I guess this was some kind of ironically sick joke that the person who sent me here was playing. It's weird and ironic at the same time, I was always quiet and just formed myself to fit other people, and now I'm like this for good.

Cadence is a scared little filly who has just become an Alicon Princess. She feels that she isn't ready for the trials that come with this title. She's only eight after all, I'm sorry eight and a half. One night while confiding her fears in her pony bear Shiny a storm rages on out side of Canterlot castle. Frightened by both the storm and the stress of her new responsibilities young Cadence goes to talk to her aunt Celestia who always has a story to tell. Maybe this story about the Crystal Empire will help take Cadence's mind off of things. This takes place in the same universe as my other story "Dual Melody." I hope you all enjoy "Ballad of the Crystal Empire"

A parody of My Little Dashie starring the coolest and best pony, Taste McGillicuddy. This one-shot story likely won't make sense unless you've read The Ballad of Taste McGillicuddy.
