It's been a month since the return of the Twilight King, Dusk. Twilight is still his captive and the Doctor, Derpy, and Marcus have taken refuge on Ruleo to gain backup in their plan to infiltrate the new land of twilight. But there is more waiting for the Doctor and his friends beyond the twilight curtain than just an evil, powerful tyrant.

Dragons. Big. Selfish. Treasure mongers. No other creature in Equestria is as selfish as they. The spend their entire centuries long lives building and hoarding huge stockpiles of treasures, which they guard fiercely and frighteningly. Many are the treasure hunters who've attempted to cash in on the goldmine that is a dragons hoard. They almost always regret it.

One dragon is actually really strange about it, however. Oh, he has a hoard, which he guards just as fiercely as any other. But! But, he actually has the capacity to trust certain ponies and other creatures enough to let them gaze upon his most precious of treasures. This isn't the most surprising thing, however, despite its seeming impossibility. No. The most surprising thing is just what treasures his hoard contains...

Apple Bloom is lost. She's trapped within a labyrinth of corridors and has been forced into the form of a strange, unfamiliar creature. However, she isn't alone in her infinite prison. Something evil is slowly starting to join her. Apple Bloom's sole chance for getting back home lies in the hands of a mysterious guide, her friends, a doomed couple, and...the Doctor.

As a filly, Scootaloo was always ashamed of never being able to fly like all the other pegasi could at her age. She hopes that maybe things will change and that she will finally be able to fly, but she soon realizes that not being able to fly isn't the only problem she's faced with.

Derpy Hooves has always been, well, Derpy. But what if one day, that wasn't the case? Twilight's been experimenting with a new type of spell that she thinks can endow a pony with the entire wealth of knowledge collected in her library and she tries to use it on herself... but it misfires and instead the spell collides with an innocent muffin. But who on Equestria would eat a glowing, obviously jinxed muffin?

Ever since moving to Ponyville, Twilight has neglected something: her other residence. The rooms she used in the Canterlot Archives are still filled with her possessions. It's been nearly a year, and the Archives want her to clear out already so the place can go to the new departmental librarian. She has until sunset -- or anything still there just might remain so. Spike, knowing the deadline is hours away from arriving, recruits the Bearers to help her.

But Twilight doesn't want help.

A deadline is in front of her, and she's -- stalling.

They have until sunset...
