Doctor Perseus

I'm just a guy who loves to write.

T

This story is a sequel to The Doctor Whooves Chronicles Episode 5: Prisoners of War

It's been a month since the return of the Twilight King, Dusk. Twilight is still his captive and the Doctor, Derpy, and Marcus have taken refuge on Ruleo to gain backup in their plan to infiltrate the new land of twilight. But there is more waiting for the Doctor and his friends beyond the twilight curtain than just an evil, powerful tyrant.

"The oncoming storm is coming for you."

That's what the Daleks call him!

So now this is back. I was curious about the next installment of this since the last one ended with a cliffhanger. Still it's a nice intermission after the awesome ending of "The Rifts". Looking forward to seeing how the Doctor and Derpy save Twilight and defeat King Dusk. As always, keep up the good work. :pinkiehappy:

YES!!! Been waiting foe this for ages

Dun, dun, DDUUNN!! Watch out, you're about to get DESTROYED!

I know I have seen the beginning before...
Did you by any chance get the beginning from Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

3654368
I'd be lying if I said that Zelda: Twilight Princess didn't act as inspiration for certain aspects of Dusk's land of twilight. :twilightblush:

Three words. What. The. HECK?!?!?
What in the loopty-loop are you doing?! Are seriously stealing ideas from Japanese horror movies/stories?!? In any case, this was extremely well written, but I found myself creeped out by those ghosts. Hope this story turns out well.

3664082
Actually, the ghosts in this story weren't inspired by any sort of Japanese movies or stories. They were just...ghosts. :twilightblush:

Although I do watch a lot of Japanese ghost stories and horror films so I'm not surprised if I end up unintentionally writing ghosts in a Japanese style (which I guess isn't a really bad thing as the Japanese are known as the masters of horror).

Whether you're going to get the sudden urge to grab a nearby fez and place it on your head.

That's a reference "Day of the Doctor" isn't it?

I agree with the Doctor. Things have become much more interesting.

Considering that The Doctor has faced The Daleks, Davros, The Master, Rassillon, The Nightmare Child and his armies of menwas and never-weres, The Beast, The Silence, The Sontarans, etc, this is just another usual day for The Doctor AKA The Oncoming Storm

:flutterrage:CURSE YOU CLIF HANNGERS!!!

:rainbowdetermined2:Now things are starting to get interesting. Keep up the good work!

My best guess for this new guy is Ash or President Targaryen.

"I usually dream about where I'm going."

"But you're not going anywhere, you just wandering about" Quoted from Clara Oswald
This is the prof :

:rainbowderp:Woah. That just happened.

A short laugh escaped Sylvia's lips. "Of course. I've been going moderately slow and saving up energy for a reason, Doctor," the Auranian replied.

Wait. Isn't Sylvia a Nymphadoran? :derpyderp2:

The creature attacking the ship kind of reminds me of what happened in the episode "Midnight". I don't know if that's intentional since takes place in a place called "Twilight". :twilightsheepish:

No, Sylvia's always been an Auranian.

This is not looking good. Hope the Doc. finds a way to fix this.

3769844
I wouldn't worry about that. The Doctor always finds a way to fix things, even if he has to die in the process. fc06.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2012/364/d/1/clapping_pony_icon___time_turner_by_travispony-d5pob3v.gif

Him dying in the process is exactlly what I'm afraid of since it almost happens all the time throughout the franchise.

"I'm sorry. I'm so, so sorry."

Ah there the Doctor goes again.

"Yeah...I guess you could call me that," chuckled Colonel Asphodel "Ash" Rogers.

Ha! I totally called it. Ash was the new ghost Twilight saw.

I like how the Doctor's guilt induced fear that something will happen to Derpy as his companion. He is the one who regrets after all.

I can't help imagining Dusk sounding like the Shredder from the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

"Not in the way you want them to," Ask explained.

I think you mean Ash.

Oh my gosh! What's happening to Twilight! :twilightoops:

"The Oncoming Storm is coming for you."

I was dying!! :rainbowlaugh:

Doc you is one badass stallion. You deserve a moustache. :moustache:

Fantastic chaper as always

:rainbowderp:Holy crap. Things have gotten serious!

:pinkiehappy:Keep up the good work!

Let me guess. That ancient magic and wisps of light is that dude who first imprisoned Dusk in the first place. Another great installment. Keep up the good work. :pinkiehappy:

Oh dear, oh dear, what have we here?
The wandering wanderer wondering where to go.

Dude, allow me to congratulate you on this excellent chapter. You captured the essence od the 10th Doctor so well in that last part of the chapter in the hole!

1678 C.E.

After some time not reading your stories I translate that to 1678 A.D
(C.E(common era)=A.D)

Great. Just what this place needed: zombies. As if the ghosts, monsters, and sadistic tyrant weren't enough, she vented in thought.

You know Twilight does have a point. :twilightsheepish:

With all the running, sorries, and hatred of pears, I find myself reminded here how good you are at capturing the 10th Doctor. In know the Doctor in your other Doctor Whooves series is heavily based on the 10th Doctor, but you kind of do you're own thing with him. Naturally, given in that story he's the Doctor's 11th (or rather 13th given The Time of the Doctor, right) regeneration. Anyway, this was a good run up to the epic showdown with Dusk that I sense is coming. Keep up the good work. :pinkiehappy:

Wait a minute, so King Dusk is transforming Nyphadora into something like this?

Luna's stars this updated. I gasped for about ten seconds when I saw this.

It sure feels good to be back writing my Doctor Whooves stories!

It feels good to be back reading your Doctor Whooves stories. :raritywink:

Metal Crown her name was, if she remembered correctly.

Oh my gosh. That's a reference to Sweet Apple Anthology! :applecry::unsuresweetie::scootangel:

I sense we are fast approaching the epic climax. I really look forward to it. Keep up the good work. :pinkiehappy:

"The moment has come," they said in unison. "It's time for the Dawn."

Can someone say "Epic!" loud enough to give that scene credit?! I honestly had shivers run down my spine while I read their speech. That amazing speech! :raritystarry:
But still... Called it. It was pretty obvious that the Dawn would return and give Dusk hell. Uh... again. Not that that made it any less breath-taking of course. :derpyderp2:

"It is time for this to end, Dusk. You do not belong in this world anymore. You have brought it enough pain," the Dawn stated. The voice was powerful and intimidating, yet calm and soothing.

Is it weird that the first thing that came to mind when I read this was Lorelei from Tales of the Abyss? ...Okay, scratch that, even with your description of how the Dawn looked Lorelei is still the only thing that fits the image you crafted of him. In my opinion at least. :twilightsheepish:

"Thank you, Twilight. I think...I think I'm finally free." A giddy laugh of happiness escaped from the spirit's smiling mouth. "We're finally free!" Thea wiped her eyes and gave a polite curtsy in Twilight's direction. "Thank you again, Twilight, and...goodbye."

This little girl. I don't even know what it is about her, but every single action of hers warms my heart. It's a shame we have to say goodbye to her

To sum up, I loved this chapter a whole fricking lot. Can't wait for the wrapping-up of this great ride of pure awesome!

"And yet...you're still live."

I think you mean "You still live" or "You're still alive". :twilightsheepish:

Just then, Twilight felt a powerful pull behind her navel and, a second later, was standing in between Dusk and Derpy's group.

Like a portkey. :twilightoops:

Well, that was quite a thrilling climax. Though it had to end with a cliffhanger. :twilightangry2: Can't wait for the conclusion. Keep up the good work. :pinkiehappy:

Awww, I'm gonna miss Twilight...
And Carrot op reminds me of a mix between Jackie and Amy. I'm honestly not sure how to feel about that... :rainbowhuh:

Love the ending of this month that never was! It was a bumpy ride of humor, drama and epicness and I can't wait for the next installment! :yay:

Well that ending was quite unexpected.

"The month that never was," Twilight added.
The Doctor chuckled. "Exactly. Heh. Never thought I'd go through something like this twice."
"Twice? What happened the last time?" Derpy asked.
"Oh, you don't want to hear about that! It's a boring story. Old enemy of mine returning, reuniting with an old friend, parting with a new friend, world domination, year completely reversed, nothing noteworthy. Your average Wednesday."

That's exactly what I was thinking. This is just like the end of The Last of the Time Lords.

Princess Celestia nodded. "I think you've earned the right to do that. Messing around in blue boxes can be quite tiresome."
Twilight's eyes widened. "Wait...what?!"

Seems Celestia's knows of the Doctor's adventures. :trollestia:

So it seems Twilight won't be joining the Doctor and Derpy on their adventures. But if I recall the list of episodes for the subsequent "seasons" of DWC, it seems Twilight will eventually be joining the Doctor again.

The ending here also kind of reminded me of "The Doctor, the Widow, and the Wardrobe".

Well, that's finally the end of that. Felt like it took a long time to tell this story. Anyway, let's see what comes next. :derpytongue2: Keep up the good work. :pinkiehappy:

And now, we wait for book 7.

I'm about ready to pass out..
..Yet, I will be waiting...
..Waiting...
There mus...Be more... :pinkiesick::rainbowderp::fluttershysad::heart:

Surely I hate this story and the chronicles series as well but somehow I still read it

I'll continue writing this series once I've completed the finale of the first "season" of my main DW series (which I hope to finish at least before I die :twilightblush:).

He was going to send that demon back to the hell he had been born from.

Sorry but I (through painful consideration) decided to put a close on this secondary series. I explained why in this blog post.
